Abstract The basic helix–loop–helix (bHLH) domain transcription factors precisely regulate various developmental processes in insects. Dimm, a specific bHLH factor, integrates the insulin/insulin‐like growth factor signaling (IIS) and juvenile hormone (JHS) pathways to modulate larval development silkworms.
