Ship-breaking on Bangladesh's Sitakunda coast, the world's second-largest site, releases residual radioisotopes and trace metals, causing continuous radioactive pollution. Thirty soil samples from ship-breaking yards nearby areas, including a recent explosion were meticulously analysed for first time. The results unveiled notable levels of radionuclides, with activity concentrations 226Ra ranging 13 ± 1 to 37 3 Bq/kg (mean: 22 Bq/kg), 232Th 21 2 47 4 35 40K 220 19 590 55 438 Bq/kg). highest recorded values outdoor absorbed dose rate (66.85 nGy/h) annual effective (0.48 mSv) exceed internationally recognised safety thresholds. This study aims provide baseline data radiological mapping monitoring ensure regulatory compliance upcoming nuclear power initiatives address public health concerns in region.

Waterlogging is one of the major global problems which affects agro-economic activities around world. In coastal areas Bangladesh, especially southwestern coast, drainage congestion and waterlogging are very common makes area uninhabitable. Therefore, timely checking systems surface water, conveying data on dynamics drainages water important for plan supervisory processes. The present study took an effort to illustrate morphological change rivers in coast Bangladesh through Modification Normalized Difference Water Index (MNDWI) values valuable indicators monitoring land use pattern change. Landsat images (Landsat L8 Oli TIRS, ETM+, TM) were used research. reveals that from 1989 2020, shallow (mostly covered with rivers) decreased by ∼14.30 km2 yr-1, whereas wet-land beels logging areas) increased ∼ 67.12 yr-1. bare also at a rate 36.90 On other hand, green vegetation ∼166.1 moderate 69.77 yr-1 same period. zones polders, embankments, upstream dams, etc., enhance more sedimentation within channels rather than nearby tidal plains. Desertification is one of the most destructive climate-related issues in Sudan-Sahel region Africa. As assessment desertification possible by satellite image analysis using vegetation indices (VIs), this study reports on technical advantages and capabilities scripting 'raster' 'terra' R-language packages for computing VIs. The test area which was considered includes confluence between Blue White Niles Khartoum, southern Sudan, northeast Africa Landsat 8-9 OLI/TIRS images taken years 2013, 2018 2022, were chosen as datasets. VIs used here are robust indicators plant greenness, combined with coverage, essential parameters environmental analytics. Five calculated to compare both status dynamics through differences collected within nine-year span. The integration of a centrifugal extraction and pipeline transportation system to improve efficiency in shrimp harvesting management into closed-pond aquaculture systems represents significant advancement technology.
