For the sustainable fashion manifesto, biobased material is a novel creation that made from leftovers and growing biological cells. As need to develop biomaterials on rise many researchers have focused their studies microbes other organisms such as plants offer cleaner, greener processes entirely new products. The majority of leather items are produced skins cows calves, killed for flesh. Bio-based materials with Tropical fruit waste were developed using Bacterial Cellulose (Gluconacetobacter) leftover peels rinds mango, papaya jackfruit. production (BC), use agricultural can be cheap method. basic physical tests show matrices BC higher abrasion resistance compared samples. research indicates presence in matrix increases material's strength elongation twofold. manufacturing up natural resource cause negative environmental effects, this reduced by raw materials. This study has opened ways creating without resources meeting consumers' sustainability concerns.

Tanning, crucial for leather production, relies heavily on chromium yet poses risks due to chromium's oxidative conversion, leading significant wastewater and solid waste generation. Physico-chemical methods are typically used heavy metal removal, but they have drawbacks, prompting interest in eco-friendly biological remediation techniques like biosorption, bioaccumulation, biotransformation. The EU Directive (2018/850) mandates alternatives landfilling or incineration industrial textile management, highlighting the importance of environmentally conscious practices products' end-of-life with com-posting being most researched viable option. This study aimed isolate microorganisms from tannery identify those responsible different types tanned biodegradation. Using a biodegradation assay (ISO 20136) municipal wastewaters as inoculum, bacterial shifts during were observed. Over 10,000 species identified all analyzed samples, 8 strains isolated wastewater. Identification genera Acinetobacter, Brevundimo-nas, Mycolicibacterium provides insights into potential microbial candidates enhancing biodegradability, treatment, bioremediation applications.
