Wooden material can be used in different areas due to its various positive properties. Glued Laminated wooden elements (glulam) are wood composite materials widely especially the construction industry. Carbon fiber-reinforced polymers (FRP) increase bearing capacity values of glulam beams and improve their overall load-displacement behavior. This study was carried out two stages. In first stage, bending properties timbers sizes with wide spans reinforced carbon were experimentally examined. next obtained data predicted three machine learning techniques (ANN, Random Forest XGBoost). As a result study, it determined that as section dimensions increased, reinforcement effective by approximately 22%. All prediction could make predictions high accuracy. However, best made (R2: 0.9892). Therefore, (ML) techniques.

Many methods have been developed to detect and predict the fracture properties of fractured rocks. The standard data sources for evaluations are image logs core samples. However, many wells do not these data, especially old wells. Furthermore, operating both can be costly, and, sometimes, gathered bad quality. Therefore, previous research attempted evaluate fractures indirectly using widely available conventional well-logs. Sedimentary rocks widespread studied in literature. reservoirs, like igneous metamorphic rock bodies, may also vital since they provide fluid migration pathways store some hydrocarbons. Hence, two bodies this study any difference responses on well-log properties. Also, a quick reliable prediction method is density (FD) case unavailability Gene expression programming (GEP) was chosen FD, ten were used as input variables. model produced by GEP good, with R2 values at least above 0.84 all wells, then applied without logs. Both selected showed similar results which significant parameters FD spectral gamma ray, resistivity, porosity This proposed validation ensure that value predictions consistent discriminant function analysis. Unreinforced masonry (URM) buildings are quite popular worldwide due to their low construction costs, despite being susceptible significant damage even from moderate earthquakes. In many cases, reconstruction may not be the most viable option financial and time constraints. Among available retrofit solutions, steel-reinforced shotcrete (SRS) proves a cost-effective, straightforward, yet effective method for repair/retrofitting. This paper presents results of an experimental study aimed at evaluating effects various conditions on rebar pullout resistance used as URM walls. To achieve this, total 46 full-scale specimens were manufactured tested, each consisting one-sided 50 mm-thick layer with single 8 mm steel rebar. The variables examined included condition surface before application (wet/dry, with/without finishing including plaster/scratched plaster/oil paint), (rusty/clean), type (plain/ribbed), cover in (20/25/30 mm), substrate temperature (20 °C/-16 °C). indicate that there is increase under following conditions: when wall's removed, wetted application, ribbed utilized, 20 °C, by 58 %, 56 32 13 respectively. Additionally, sufficient, this rusted, 55 10 6

This study examined the cyclic behavior of glass-fiber-reinforced polymer composite column-beam connectors in various diameters. Mean learning (XGBoost and random forest algorithm) numerical methods were used to identify data collected experimentally due rotation behavior. The initial sample had a column length 1200 mm cross-section 80 × mm, with beam section measuring 160 mm. second 100 200 respectively. For third sample, column's dimensions 130 length, was 260 Spruce wood is make glulam components for columns beams. Following creation connections, glass-based fiber-reinforces (FRP) fabric wrap connections that needed strengthening. reinforced reference samples joint areas examined. connection code C13B13-R has most load-carrying capacity (13.9 kN), while C08B08-UR lowest (03.4 kN). Examining table reveals findings analysis experiment provide comparable conclusions. When comparing experimental results, similar values are found stiffness (R2 0.99), load-bearing energy consumption 0.99). With R2 0.9978, RMSE 0.01017, MAE 0.01043, approach identified model best accuracy. It been shown seismic couplings built these materials may be studied mean models analysis, instead demanding time-consuming studies.

This study examines the pull-out behavior of timber elements connected using dowelled joints (type 1) and axially loaded screws 2), focusing on numerical predictions experimental validation under various conditions. Different screw diameters, configurations, material properties, corrosion resistance are examined. Pull-out tests demonstrated that type 2 connections, particularly 10 mm 14 screws, outperformed traditional in terms load capacity. Numerical analysis based Eurocode 5 showed close alignment with results, for actual thread diameters 5.2 6.2 mm, minor deviations attributed to variability. The finite volume method (FVM), implemented Geodict ElastoDict software, provided additional insights into mechanical connections. Corrosion confirmed long-term durability fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) components saline environments, negligible degradation after 28 days exposure. 10-90-6 configuration was identified as most efficient, balancing capacity, displacement, cost. These findings highlight effectiveness both FVM-based approaches predicting emphasize importance accounting heterogeneity connection design.
