Abstract In contrast to conventional hot mix asphalt technology (HMA), warm (WMA) permits the mixing and compaction of mixture at lower temperatures. This innovative approach is characterized by significant energy savings reduced emissions, making it a sustainable choice for production. paper used coal gangue prepare WMA additive. By leveraging free water in its zeolite-like structure, which evaporates upon heating, bubbles form within bitumen. causes bitumen expand lose viscosity, thereby achieving purpose mixing. Both achieve decline mixture’s temperature provide an effective method utilizing resources. It helps mitigate environmental hazards associated with massive accumulation gangue, including soil contamination resource pollution. Therefore, based on alkali activation theory, this aimed develop novel geopolymer (CG) CG was through microscopic testing analysis storage stability. The impact varying dosages performance examined. foaming test elucidated mechanism behavior CG. Additionally, road analyzed. findings indicate that has abundant pore structures, providing space, as additive exhibits good stability ambient temperature. When dosage 5% mass bitumen, viscosity 130∼140 °C appropriate, results performance. Compared HMA, range 20∼50 °C.
