Adaptive thermal comfort models are increasingly utilized to condition environments by considering occupants’ adaptability. The most widely recognized internationally the ASHRAE 55-2020 and UNE-EN 16798-1:2020 standards, primarily applied in residential office buildings. However, their use heritage buildings such as museums has been very limited. These present unique challenges that complicate implementation of conventional energy-saving methodologies due restrictions on interventions safeguard historical value. Therefore, it is essential develop research evaluates applicability these standards an alternative strategy specific conditions Spain. This study aims explore application international adaptive parallel with preventive conservation collections established 15757:2011 standard. aim evaluate new strategies for environmental reconditioning improve visitor while ensuring exhibition spaces Museum Popular Arts Customs, housed a 1914 building known Mudejar Pavilion Seville. Field monitoring was conducted assess environment comfort. results revealed monitored Pavilion, accordance showed high effectiveness visitors, achieving 99% time annually, acceptability 80%. High suitability also observed, optimal achieved 87% time. under Category III expectation level, only 70% year, stability 88% Finally, correction guidelines proposed achieve limits greater energy efficiency.
