This study investigated therapeutic effects Zhigancao decoction, traditional Chinese medicine, in combination conventional Western treatments patients CHF depression. A total 122 were enrolled divided into two groups: control group receiving standard treatment, an observation decoction addition therapy. Outcomes assessed by evaluating efficacy, cardiac function, inflammatory markers, depressive symptoms, quality life. The exhibited significantly higher efficacy rates, improved left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), reduced levels markers [N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP)], lower scores on scales, compared group. With the characteristics of mindfulness and breathing techniques, Tai Chi has been recommended with therapeutic values in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). However, its strengths as a complementary exercise for conventional rehabilitation (PR) remain unclear. This single-blinded randomised controlled trial recruited patients mild to severe stable COPD. Eligible participants were randomly assigned group usual care (control), total body recumbent stepper (TBRS) exercise, (TC), or combined TBRS (TBRS-TC). Patients received two-month hospital-based supervised followed by ten-month community- home-based program.A 120 recruited, 102 included per-protocol analysis. The mean changes St George's Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ) score from baseline post-hospital control group, TC TBRS-TC was 2.62 (95 % CI -8.99 8.99), -9.28 -13.96 -4.60), -10.19 -13.72 -6.67), -16.75 -20.25 -13.24), respectively, statistically significant difference between groups favor (P < 0.001). remarkable effect improving quality life maintained until end training Besides, better also observed outcomes regarding capacity, function, symptom burden, systemic inflammation after whole process 12-month integrative PR programme.Based on results, novel integrated modality combining developed. It might contribute more positive effects COPD.The study registered Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (ChiCTR-IOR-15006874) prior commencing recruitment.
