Background: There is no clear consensus on the effect of natural sounds elderly sleep quality, as one most common causes disability in them. This study aimed to determine quality. Material & Methods:In this randomized controlled trial, 100 were selected based inclusion criteria from comprehensive health care centers and then divided into two equal groups by simple random sampling method. The intervention group listened MP3 format every night for 2 weeks, 30 minutes before going bed, through mobile phone handsfree. The control did not receive any intervention. The PSQI was measured after intervention.Data analysis done SPSS software (version 22) applying Shapiro-Wilk test, Chi-square, Fisher Exact Independent Samples-t Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Mann Whitney U test.A confidence level 95% considered. Results: In intergroup comparison, baseline, same terms total quality score well other components (P>0.05).After intervention, there a significance difference between global (P=0.048),sleep latency (P=0.001),habitual efficacy (p= 0.012), disturbance (p=0.01).Conclusion: Based our results, could improve elderly.

Background With the global aging population increasing, cognitive impairment among older adult, particularly Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), has garnered remarkable attention. MCI, often a precursor to dementia, presents an opportunity for early intervention. This study investigates effects of Tai Chi combined with music therapy on function in adult individuals MCI. Methods In this randomized controlled trial, 66 participants MCI were randomly assigned one following three groups: Control Group (CG), (TCG), and Combined Music (TCMG), 22 each group. was evaluated over 12-week intervention using Montreal Assessment (MoCA), Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), Stroop Color Word Test. Results Baseline characteristics showed no significant differences groups. The TCG TCMG exhibited improvements after 16-week group improved MoCA score ( P = 0.005), attention accuracy 0.031), delayed recall 0.003). notable enhancements 0.000), MMSE 0.001), 0.025), visuospatial executive functions naming 0.014), abstraction 0.020), 0.006). CG experienced decreased language repetition ability 0.042) 0.030). Conclusion Twelve weeks substantially is more effective than alone, highlighting its potential as non-pharmacological approach enhance health population.

Abstract Purpose As the global population of older adults rises, United Nations Decade Healthy Ageing (2021–2030) advocates for disease prevention, management, and enhancing overall wellbeing in adults. We reviewed MEDLINE literature under MeSH term “music therapy” (MT), its role promoting healthy ageing. Methods A systematic search biomedical database (Ovid) was conducted using “MT” “Ageing” as keywords, retrieving relevant full-text studies English. Preference given to more recent with higher levels evidence. The were categorised according biopsychosocial framework into physical, cognitive social domains, further subcategorised based on their relevance prevention management. Results initial identified 1147 articles, which 75 met inclusion criteria. Studies encompassed both MT music interventions delivered by non-music therapists. Overall, showed benefits promotion physical health, including exercise capacity improving fitness among promising managing conditions such Parkinson’s frailty. In area brain benefits, particularly attention processing speed Socially, there evidence enhanced quality life, reduced anxiety depression, improved engagement, people living dementia, underscoring fostering emotional connections mitigating caregiver stress. Conclusion can enhance health outcomes Research should prioritise isolating MT’s specific effects, standardising definitions methodologies, exploring therapeutic mechanisms.

Low-cost technology devices, such as smartphones (SPs) and smart watches (SWs), are widely used today to monitor various health effects environmental risk factors associated with them. However, the efficacy of using these devices monitoring tools is largely unknown. The present study attempts narrow this knowledge gap by reviewing recent studies in which low-cost technological were sleep factors. focuses on peer-refereed articles that appear three major scientific databases, Web Science, Scopus, ScienceDirect, published between 2002 2022. Of 15,000+ records retrieved from databases systematic literature review (PRISMA) search, 15 identified most relevant consequently analyzed. analysis shows nighttime light pollution noise commonly monitored (eight studies), followed temperature (seven humidity CO2 (four studies). In eight studies, tandems SPs SWs sleep, while six data obtained compared conventional devices. general, SP SW measurements found be fairly accurate for less noise. At same time, no conducted date analyzed demonstrated effectiveness ambient temperature, humidity, air pressure. Our general conclusion although often lack precision professional instruments, they can nevertheless large-scale field research citizen science initiatives, their feasibility several attributes have yet determined.

Background Detailed intervention reporting is essential to interpretation, replication, and translation of music-based interventions (MBIs). The 2011 Reporting Guidelines for Music-Based Interventions were developed improve transparency quality published research; however, problems with persist. This represents a significant barrier advances in MBI scientific research findings practice. Objective To update validate the guidelines using rigorous Delphi approach that involved an interdisciplinary group researchers; develop explanation elaboration guidance statement support dissemination usage. Methods We followed methodological framework developing recommended by EQUATOR Network recommendations health guidelines. Our three-stage process included: (1) initial field scan, (2) consensus surveys (two rounds) Expert Panel meetings, (3) development document. Results First-Round survey revealed original checklist items capturing content investigators deemed reporting; it also item wording terminology. Subsequent meetings Second-Round centered on reaching language. revised RG-MBI has total 12-items pertain eight different components including name, theory/scientific rationale, content, interventionist, individual/group, setting, delivery schedule, treatment fidelity. Conclusion recommend authors, journal editors, reviewers use guidelines, conjunction methods-based (e.g., CONSORT) accelerate rigor research.
