ABSTRACT Transgenerational immune priming (TGIP) is a phenomenon in which parental exposure to pathogen infection enhances resistance pathogens their offspring. TGIP has been reported several insects, including Lepidoptera, but it not yet documented silkworms. In this study, we demonstrated the existence of silkworms by exposing generation low dose Bombyx mori nucleopolyhedrovirus (BmNPV). Notably, when maternal or paternal‐primed moths were mated produce F1 generation, larvae from both primed groups more resistant BmNPV challenge than silkworm with only paternal priming. Importantly, and contributions offspring immunity essential for TGIP. However, due characteristics itself, no within‐generation responses detected following Further analysis revealed that immune‐related genes might play role mediating specific after These results broaden our understanding antiviral memory insects

Abstract The cotton aphid, Aphis gossypii Glover (Hemiptera: Aphididae), is a major pest in production, notorious for its rapid development of resistance to pesticides, which complicates control efforts. A sustainable solution involves combining selective insecticides with biocontrol agents reduce populations while preserving natural enemies. Afidopyropen, novel transient receptor potential vanilloid-targeted insecticide, was extremely safe the minute pirate bug Orius sauteri Poppius Anthocoridae), common predator small pests. LC50 values direct exposure were 592.38, 497.02, and 382.71 mg/L fifth instars female male adults, respectively. Even at maximum recommended field rate, afidopyropen had minimal impact on survival, predation efficiency, reproduction pesticide-treated O. their offspring. Despite observed field-collected A. gossypii, low concentration significantly reduced aphid populations. By day 7 post-treatment, density decreased by over 94.29%. While higher initially achieved 98.19% control, rebounded time. This study demonstrated that as indicated values. combination offers an effective approach resistant presenting integrated management strategy.

Abstract Background Ticks can transmit a wide range of pathogens that endanger human and animal health. Although repellents are commonly used for tick control, understanding their mechanisms aren't complete. Methods The repellent effects N, N-diethyl-meta-toluamide (DEET); sec-butyl 2-(2-hydroxyethyl) piperidine-1-carboxylate (icaridin); N-diethyl-3-methylbenzamide (IR3535); cinnamaldehyde on the parthenogenetic Haemaphysalis longicornis at nymph stage were assessed using Y-tubes. involvement transient receptor potential ( HL-TRP ) channel molecules in mechanism was investigated through situ hybridization, subcellular localization, real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR), RNA interference, electroantennography. In addition, binding affinity to predicted AlphaFold3. Results DEET, icaridin, IR3535, have been shown effectively repel nymphs. is shared among various arthropods, particularly several species ticks. It localized cell membrane Haller’s organ. Moreover, microinjection double-stranded elicited repellency behavior, electroantennogram responses those significantly decreased. TYR783 site proposed as an essential establish hydrogen bonds with cinnamaldehyde. Conclusions This exploration ticks found functions chemosensory and, thereby, mediates avoidance behavior. Graphical

Abstract A series of novel 3‐(6‐methyltriazinone)‐3,4‐dihydrobenzo[ b ][1,5]diazin‐2(1 H )‐one derivatives was designed and synthesized as conformationally restricted analogues insecticide pymetrozine. Conformational physicochemical properties analyses indicated the rationality in reducing energy barrier between lowest‐energy predicted bioactive conformations, well pesticide‐likeness. Insecticidal bioassays showed that optimal compound VI‐6b exhibited a mortality rate 67.7% against Aphis craccivora at 400 mg L −1 . The molecular docking study within Nilaparvata lugens TRPV channel elucidated binding mode, wherein forms hydrogen bonds with Arg646 Glu727, while engaging π‐π interactions Phe688. However, revealed low lipophilicity poor aqueous solubility limited insecticidal efficacy these compounds. This provides valuable insights for future design insecticides targeting channel.
