Background: The aim of this systematic review was to evaluate the clinical efficacy, benefits, and limitations piezosurgery in tooth extractions compared conventional methods. Piezosurgery has emerged as a minimally invasive alternative, promoting better preservation soft tissues bone structures. Understanding its impact on postoperative outcomes such pain, swelling, trismus, healing is critical for application oral surgery; Materials Methods: We restricted our search English-language articles published between 1 January 2004 28 August 2024, PubMed, Scopus, Web Science. Boolean keywords “piezosurgery AND extraction” were used. Results: A total 983 identified, after duplicates removed, 766 studies screened. Following inclusion exclusion criteria, seven selected qualitative analysis. Conclusions: literature suggests that offers advantages, reduced despite longer surgical times While shows promise improved patient comfort tissue preservation, further research required validate long-term regeneration.

The color of the gingiva is determined by degree vascularization, epithelial thickness, and number melanin pigments within epithelium. Melanin pigmentation caused abnormal or increased deposition active melanocytes located mainly in basal supra-basal cell layers oral Oral occurs most frequently gingiva, known as gingival hyperpigmentation (GHP), which a common esthetical concern with variable etiologic factors. Clinically, GHP reveals asymptomatic, well-defined, generalized localized, light-to-dark brown macules sizes. Gingival depigmentation (GD) procedure used to remove reduce excessive using several therapeutic approaches, include surgical, chemical, electrosurgical, cryosurgical procedures. Many clinicians prefer use laser ablations such CO2, diode, Er:YAG, Er,Cr:YSGG, can be utilized safely effectively without postoperative discomfort. Er,Cr:YSGG 2780 nm wavelength has an ablative mechanism action high water absorption. Herein, we present case 16-year-old girl darkly pigmented gingiva. Clinical examination revealed physiologic maxillary mandibular anterior Treatment was carried out including nm, frequency 50 Hz, 2.5 W, 10-20% water, 20-40% air, employing MZ8 tip contact mode localized only on pigmentated areas. ablated regions healed almost completely two weeks pain discomfort, comparable normal In six-month follow-up, patient seen full satisfaction. GD found safe efficient approach.

The infraocclusion (IO) of primary molars, often seen in retained deciduous teeth, is a common condition that presents significant challenges for pediatric oral health. It occurs when molars are positioned below the occlusal plane due to absence permanent successors, leading complications such as misaligned impaired chewing, and long-term dental health issues. Objectives: This study examines IO prevalence, diagnosis, treatment approaches. Methods: A systematic review following PRISMA guidelines was conducted, searching PubMed, Web Science, Scopus articles from last 15 years. Nine were included qualitative analysis. Results: associated with several complications, including root resorption, altered eruption adjacent space loss within arch. Clinical radiographic evaluations key early detection. Severe cases require invasive treatments, tooth extraction maintenance, while mild could be monitored. Conclusions: prevalent dentistry can lead issues if untreated. Early detection intervention crucial preventing like misalignment impacted premolars. Tailored strategies based on severity, along increased awareness among practitioners, essential improve outcomes affected children.
