Post-harvest losses and rapid fruit ripening at room temperature are major challenges in preserving quality. This study aimed to reduce such by applying a red carotenoid pigment, bacterioruberin extracted from an Arthrobacter sp. Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with tunable pore sizes and ordered structures are ideal materials for engineering nanofiltration (NF) membranes. However, most of the COFs prepared by solvothermal synthesis unprocessable powders fail to form well-structured membranes, which seriously hinders development COF NF Herein, colloidal 2D-COFs processable membrane formation ability were synthesized oil-in-water emulsion interfacial polymerization technology. membranes tailored thickness surface charge fabricated via a layer-by-layer (LBL) assembly strategy. The achieved precise sieving dye molecules high permeance (85 L·m-2·h-1·bar-1). In this work, strategy based on colloid 2D-COF LBL is proposed first time, provides new idea on-demand design preparation molecular sieving.
