This study introduces highly efficient loose nanofiltration (LNF) membranes developed through a green synergistic combination of tannic acid (TA) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), aimed at addressing the complex challenge dye/salt fractionation in wastewater treatment. Utilizing one-step co-deposition technique onto polysulfone (PSF) substrate, integration TA PVA has produced with excellent functional capabilities. Comprehensive chemical analyses, including FTIR XPS, confirm successful modification TA, leading to enhanced membrane functionality. is further evidenced by SEM, MWCO, contact angle measurements, which reveal decreased pore size increased hydrophilicity. The TA/PVA-coated demonstrated high water permeability up 138 LMH/bar selectivity, achieving ~99 % Congo Red (CR) rejection <10 salt both single-component mixture filtrations. Notably, these exhibited remarkable fouling resistance, Flux Recovery Ratios (FRR) 99 against mixtures. eco-friendly approach, leveraging chemistry PVA, offers cost-effective solution one most challenging wastewaters technology.
