Abstract The utilization of solar‐thermal energy and universal cold has led to many innovative designs that achieve effective temperature regulation in different application scenarios. Numerous studies on passive solar heating radiation cooling often operate independently (or actively control the conversion) lack a cohesive framework for deep connections. This work provides concise overview recent breakthroughs by employing mechanism material model. Solar-driven water evaporation has attracted increasing attention as an environmentally friendly method of purification/desalination. However, the presence biofouling and oil-fouling agents in natural induces channel plugging significantly decreases its efficiency. In this study, a self-generating zwitterionic polyurethane foam (ZPF) is fabricated by grafting silylated hydrolysis-induced telomer (Si-HIZ), further spraying TiN/PDMS on top solar device. The serves photothermal converter, ZPF pump. exhibits excellent performance, with rate 1.51 kg m-2 h-1 conversion efficiency 98.56%. When used underwater, forms hydration layer that effectively inhibits biofilm formation channels, allowing solar-driven to occur normally after cocultivating bacterial suspension (Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas sp.) for 4 days. Moreover, it good anti-oil-fouling performance (underwater-oil contact angle = 151°) resists 20 wt % NaCl solutions evaporation. These results demonstrate polymers are promising materials designing purification/desalination devices, introducing new avenues applications complex environments.

The escalating challenge of antibacterial resistance has driven the widespread use silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) due to their potent antimicrobial properties. AgNPs can be synthesised through diverse methods, spanning conventional chemical and physical routes increasingly favoured biosynthesis approach. While offering environmental advantages, ecological impact biogenically synthesized AgNPs, especially on aquatic ecosystems, requires thorough evaluation. renal system, critical for maintaining physiological homeostasis via nephron-mediated waste removal, fluid regulation, electrolyte balance, is highly vulnerable toxicant-induced damage, which negatively affect organismal fitness. This study aimed assess nephrotoxic effects using entirely "green" zebrafish after 96-h exposures three distinct concentrations alongside a control group. Acridine orange fluorescence microscopy revealed dose-dependent histopathological alterations in tissues. Specifically, at 0.031 μg/L 0.250 μg/L, significant changes were observed, including glomerular shrinkage, proliferation hematopoietic tissue, dissociation dilation tubules, melanomacrophage aggregation. At 5.000 prolonged exposure beyond 48 h indicated potential tissue cell renewal, suggesting possible compensatory response. These results demonstrate sensitivity kidneys emphasize imperative comprehensive vivo toxicity testing, irrespective synthesis method, accurately evaluate adverse impacts ensure preservation ecosystem integrity.
