The field of health sciences is constantly evolving, presenting significant challenges to student learning performance. Therefore, it crucial identify the factors influencing students' style preferences, as these relate how they acquire, understand, interpret, organize, and process information from their courses. In this study, we evaluated whether there a relationship between preferences gains. A cross-sectional study was conducted 2021 2022 using convenience sampling approach with students School Medicine Health Sciences at Mexico City Campus Tecnológico de Monterrey. Students completed online questionnaires assess normalized gains, well preference VARK inventory (Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, Kinesthetic types preferences) Felder-Silverman model, which framework that categorizes learners based on across several dimensions: active/reflective, sensing/intuitive, visual/verbal, sequential/global. Descriptive statistics Spearman's correlation were used analyze data. relation inventory, exhibited tendency prefer multimodal sensory learning, particularly favoring kinesthetic style. number styles for significantly correlated test indicated preferred sensing, visual, sequential learning; however, levels active, intuitive, associated higher Reflective demonstrated an inverse Our results indicate importance incorporating experience practical skills in classroom. Additionally, recommended work collaboratively, share discuss materials, foster innovation abstract follow logical approaches optimize educational achievements. It fundamental find models improve academic performance reflective preference.

The Framingham Steatosis Index (FSI) serves as a diagnostic metric for fatty liver. While research has established link between depression and liver, the association with remains undocumented. aim of this study is to explore potential correlation FSI depression, addressing void. Our data originates from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database. We employed PHQ-9 questionnaire evaluation depressive symptoms. investigated using weighted multiple logistic regression model stratified analysis. Non-linear associations were explored fitted smooth curves. A recursive method was identify inflection points. Subgroup analyses conducted examine differences in within subgroups. encompassed total 19,697 participants. Multivariate analysis, adjusted confounding factors, demonstrated significant positive OR 1.14 (95% CI: 1.10, 1.18). Stratified analysis indicated that exists among all groups except those BMI below 30. non-linear relationship further confirmed by restricted cubic splines which revealed an point at value 29.72. Below threshold, there no correlation, while above it, observed. statistically interactions educational attainment groups. study's discovery curvilinear depression. Factors such inflammation, hormonal levels, metabolic disruptions could be underlying mechanisms driving relationship. This finding offers valuable insights inform development comprehensive intervention strategies managing clinical settings.
