Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is a significant component of various physiological processes, and it can also cause negative effect on foodstuffs. In this work, we designed synthesized an NIR fluorescent turn-on responding probe (DDM-H2S) with large Stokes shift (190 nm) for the detection H2S. DDM-H2S exhibited high selectivity sensitivity, obvious color changes, fast response time tracing When reacted H2S, PET process was eliminated, recovered ICT fluorescence were observed. Moreover, could image endogenous exogenous H2S in living HeLa cells zebrafish. What more, be deposited easily to test paper strips, which able detect gas produced during food spoilage (such as eggs, raw meat, fishes) by strips changing from pink purple. Therefore, work provides promising approach monitoring complicated biological systems practical samples.
