Empirical evidence on renewable energy (RE) deployment remains controversial, and little consensus exists how empirical determinants can shape a country's transition to low-carbon economy. Using sample of 38 countries from 2002 2020, we apply nonlinear panel data modeling, where the process be properly treated. Our results indicate prominent role geopolitical risk in influencing use RE, depending level gross domestic product (GDP) per capita. Richer have greater capacity develop clean technologies times uncertainty; however, with fewer resources bear costs, RE sector low-income appears more vulnerable adverse events.

Abstract The sustainable future of emerging market economies (EMEs) lies within achieving development goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 8, which is linked with green economic growth (GEG) and its determinants, such as finance (GF) technological innovation (TI), along some control variables. However, the current literature has insufficiently addressed these determinants in context developing economies. In this regard, study deployed most effective advanced techniques like cross‐sectional auto‐regressive distributed lags, augmented mean group, common correlated effects group to handle issues endogeneity, dependence, heterogeneity, not an easy task for conventional methods used existing studies. This compiled a panel data set spanning from 2000 2019, across 13 EMEs. main outcomes revealed that GF, TI, human capital (HC) help fostering significant GEG, whereas financial (FD) globalization (ECOGLB) fail. underscores need policymakers focus on promotion diffusion GF enhancement TI HC while regulating FD ECOGLB process steer nations toward development.

Introduction China is the largest emitter of carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) in world, with its power industry being primary source these emissions. The high emission levels are primarily attributed to extensive consumption fossil resources during thermal generation. Developing clean energy generation replace one main strategies mitigate level emissions and thus promoting low-carbon transition. Method To explore relationship between China’s development electricity from power, this paper conducts an empirical study using provincial data 2008 2021, while employing fixed-effects models, mediation effect tests, heterogeneity tests. Results discussion results indicate that increase reduces CO exhibits a trend diminishing eastern economic zone western China. In regions higher urbanization, has more significant on mitigating whereas upgrading industrial structure central contributes decreasing power. Research (R&D) investment plays mediating role helps improve reduce Finally, policy implications proposed intensify R&D investment, promote crossregional cooperation sharing energy, implement differentiated policies, establish sustainable monitoring evaluation system.

Abstract This study focuses on the drivers of tourism economic growth with technological innovation and industrial structure upgrading as key predictors. An empirical was done panel data 71 countries for 1996–2016. Three‐stage least squares (3SLS) regression cross‐sectional fixed effects applied to estimate parameters. The results suggest that both predictors are driving force growth. Moreover, reveal has significant negative upgrading. suggests if development is not firmly anchored in regional development, any one‐sided pursuit can produce a “decoupling” effect, which constrains structure. important practical implications policy formulation sustain long‐term economy.
