INTRODUCTION: Digital transformation is considered as challenging yet imperative in Vietnam recently. In agriculture sector, one of the directions to comprehensively pro-mote digital encourage and support farmers promote their agribusiness on e-commerce platforms.OBJECTIVES: This study aims exploratorily develop a framework for farmers’ capabilities agribusines empirically examine how dimensions such developed impact adoption platforms promoting products.METHODS: A mixed method design employed. Low income is a common problem faced by farmers around the world. In order to promote agricultural development and increase farmers’ incomes, China has implemented rural industrial revitalization (RIR). However, following question remains unanswered: how does RIR affect incomes? this study, based on theories of economics panel data from 30 provinces in between 2011 2020, an evaluation system consisting four primary indicators 10 secondary was constructed. ABSTRACT The popularization of information and communication technology (ICT), particularly the extensive use digital technologies in rural areas, has propelled growth e‐commerce. Despite non‐negligible role played by e‐commerce revitalization China's how such gains are distributed among households remains underexplored. This study aims to assess development affects income inequality households, exploring both direct impacts underlying mechanisms. We utilize quasi‐natural experiment with “Rural E‐commerce Comprehensive Demonstration Project” (RECD project) data from China Household Finance Survey (CHFS) spanning 2013 2019. find that significantly reduces inequality. effect complements finance is more pronounced regions online sales agricultural products. Furthermore, this reduction significant regardless ex‐ante county poverty level. Mechanisms analysis illustrates: (1) a skewed‐income increasing effect; (2) efficient reallocation labor between non‐agricultural sectors; (3) minimal impact on entrepreneurship due physical capital constraints. Elevating farmers’ incomes is crucial for ensuring socio-economic stability, yet the current stagnation in income growth and expanding divide between urban rural present formidable challenges. E-commerce offers a transformative solution by bridging these disparities fostering sustainable growth. Utilizing county-level data from 2000 to 2020 China, particularly focusing on “The Pilot Counties of Introducing Rural Areas”, this paper explores impact e-commerce construction using multiple difference method. The findings reveal that development exerts significant positive enhancement incomes. Mechanistic analyses indicate driving effect comprehensive demonstration county policy areas mainly realized through channels market accessibility, promoting advanced transformation industrial structure, optimizing conditions information infrastructure. Moreover, efficacy policies augmentation more pronounced regions characterized higher levels human capital substantial scale effects. This research valuable insights continuously effectively implementing “Comprehensive Demonstration Areas” policy, which are exploring ways mechanisms boost developing countries.
