Mountainous counties are under the twin pressure of urbanized development and resource extraction, conflict “Production-Living-Ecological Spaces” is becoming more serious. Tongdao County, a typical mountainous county in border area Hunan, Guizhou, Guangxi provinces, was selected as research based on land use data, road POI data from 2000 to 2020. This study developed spatial classification construction PLES, incorporated landscape pattern index, examined temporal evolution PLES. Utilizing GeoDetectors pinpoint driving factors, following conclusions were drawn. First, it clear that County’s PLES horizontally differentiated, with ecological space predominating. The majority production situated gentle slope angles, living dispersed between spaces. Second, show obvious vertical differentiation, space, weak all concentrated lower regions below boundary line 600 m elevation 8° slope. region height home strong space.
