Abstract Objective This study examines the determinants of green total factor productivity in marine fisheries, considering role Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG 14) promoting sustainable resource utilization and conservation. Methods employs panel data from 57 countries between 2001 2021 to estimate efficiency scores through directional distance function Malmquist–Luenberger model by incorporating inputs (labor, fishing vessels, energy consumption) outputs (gross ocean product carbon dioxide emissions). A truncated regression analysis is conducted explore relationship SDG (GTFP) while controlling for financial resources macroeconomic indicators. Result The findings indicate that significantly enhances both constant returns scale (CRS) technical variable (VRS) pure efficiency, underscoring importance conservation management. Additionally, (like lending government investment), research innovation development, number researchers, foreign funds), factors gross product, domestic inflation) positively influence productivity. Conclusion results underscore practices enhancing GTFP fisheries. Integrated policies focusing on investment, innovation, stability are essential achieve greater sustainability this sector.

In order to study the impact of artificial reef construction on marine carbon sinks, a one-year monitoring and analysis were carried out in Sanheng areas Shengsi Island. The main parameters observed sea surface temperature, salinity, pH, total alkalinity (TA), dissolved inorganic (DIC). partial pressure CO2 (pCO2w) water flux (FCO2) across sea–air interface calculated analyzed. results showed that annual range pCO2w was 34.48~501.53 μatm, decreases following order: winter, spring, autumn, summer. FCO2 significantly negatively correlated with temperature positively salinity TA. four seasons survey area ranged from −108.79 41.74 mmol m−2 d−1. both control displayed positive values, indicating source CO2, while other three seasons, values negative, an overall sink. Additionally, exhibited stronger sink than area. indicated reefs has certain effect, no significant difference effectiveness between different models.

Research on the marine science and technology innovation efficiency (MSTE) from perspective of value chain is not only an inevitable requirement for in-depth exploration Marine activities, but also important guidance sustainable development optimization economy. Based perspective, process divided into three phases: basic innovation, applied research development, gainful transformation, network DEA model used to measure MSTE 11 provinces municipalities along coast China 2007 2021; modified gravity social analysis are examine spatial correlation characteristics at different phases their influencing factors. The results show that gradually develops a sparse dispersed state close trend, pattern unicentre, polycentre networked. There no strict hierarchical structure in MSTE, revenue transformation more relevant than phase, cross-regional collaborative needs be improved. high-efficiency have strong ability radiate other provinces, can absorb large amount resources. has formed four plates two-way spillover, broker, net spillover benefit all phases, transmission kinetic energy regional obvious gradient characteristics. strength government support, industry structure, management services conducive enhancing development. Through this study, we grasp overall dynamics deeply analyze internal logic formation mechanism its so as provide scientific basis optimizing resource allocation improving efficiency.

Although the low-carbon transition has enormous potential for improving economic and environmental benefits, it may also lead to social equity issues, trapping certain regions in a dilemma. Based on panel data from Yangtze River Economic Belt period 2007–2019, this study empirically analyzes impact of carbon decoupling energy equity, employing emission trading policy natural wetlands as joint instrumental variables. The findings reveal that: (1) 2007 2019, average level was recorded at 0.415, maintaining weak state overall nearly forming an "inverted V" shape; (2) variable regression results, every 1% increase decoupling, decreased by 0.095% (p < .01); (3) burden played partial mediating role between with mediation effect value being −0.007 .05); (4) green consumption marketization can variably mitigate adverse effects decoupling. Examining sustainability economic-environmental system perspective contributes shaping economy that maintains justice sustainability, thereby avoiding falling into trap.
