Understanding the ecological integrity of a protected area is central topic for management and conservation these key areas. An framework based on series landscape ecology indices was developed to monitor evaluate status conditions among different functional zones in Xiangjiangyuan Provincial Nature Reserve. The results showed that this nature reserve has high quality low anthropogenic influence, with ecosystem generally well-maintained. important types include evergreen broad-leaved forests, mixed deciduous etc., which have authenticity values. As degree fragmentation human interference three core zone < buffer experimental zone, good fit requirements reserve. analysis all were relatively more severe than zone; lighter minimal impacts most complete protection Regarding sustainability goals, we suggest some effective policies continuously improve integrity.
