Degrowth as ideology: Making values for the soil of Amsterdam

Degrowth research critiques the ideology of growth but does not explain how degrowth values gain public traction and turn into a new ideology. This article shows that emerge from contestation institutions maintain imperative proposition embodying alternative values. First, problematises (counter)hegemonic challenge posed by degrowth, explaining why needs to question influence social practices. Second, it conceptualises as double movement works within against ideological apparatus sustaining imperative.
