This study considers China’s ongoing Urban Old Residential Community Renovation Pilot Policy (UORCRPP), one of the important policies for urban renewal (UR), as a quasi-natural experiment, and uses sample 283 panel data from Chinese cities to examine impact influential mechanisms UR on carbon emissions (UCE) by applying difference-in-differences (DID) model. Our findings reveal that significantly reduces UCE, conclusion supported series robustness analyses. achieves this reduction in UCE through four transmission mechanisms: infrastructure development, growth productive service sector, resource allocation, economic agglomeration. Furthermore, exerts more pronounced inhibitory effect small-scale cities, central western regions, those not reliant resource-intensive industries. Additionally, demonstrates stronger designated low-carbon pilot non-participants new urbanization programs, involved innovation-focused initiatives. also exhibits significant negative spatial spillover surrounding with taking “U”-shaped pattern distance thresholds increase. The maximum is observed at 200 kilometers.

Improving street jogging environments can promote urban health and sustainability, especially within built-up areas. Public attention to the environment during has not been sufficiently studied, recommended route data from fitness app offers an opportunity for multiscale spatial exploration. Initially, by analyzing recommendation reason text, study identified 22 environmental factors proposed Environmental Factor Attention Intensity (EFPAI) quantification, with subsequent comparisons expert opinions. Further, five types of routes, relationships between EFPAI frequency, shape, distribution, seasonal variations were uncovered. The revealed: (1) discrepancies opinions public attention, experts more likely overlook such as slope, visual quality, width, acoustic quality; (2) tends notice like pedestrians, green spaces, waterfront landscapes, culture, sports facilities, accessibility on routes high frequency; (3) traffic infrastructure, residential areas, campuses is associated shape; (4) certain influenced geographical factors, substantial differences exist different cities. Specific recommendations provided three scales—site scale, block scale—to guide resolution issues in planning decision-making processes renewal.

Concern for individual perception is essential to enhance greenspace management. Various landscape elements are key factors affecting visitors’ engaging in greenspaces. Targeting Belgian public greenspaces, we develop a comprehensive approach quantify perceptions from multiple dimensions. Applying user-generated data and unsupervised machine learning approach, identified the classified greenspaces extract rates detect dominant elements. The satisfaction of every element was then analyzed by natural language process standardized major axis regression discover their contributions overall satisfaction. Furthermore, calculated visualized positive negative interactions between through network analysis. Integrating contributions, inconsistency observed most contributing element. rate human an overwhelmingly position, with 2.46. Despite variations among 5 groups, highly contributed satisfaction, especially animal vegetation, which achieved higher than 1.2 groups. Regarding interactions, stronger appeared generally, reaching up 0.496. coexistence artificial has collective effect on perception, regardless or interaction. By providing understanding elements, our findings can assist planners identifying different categories various perspectives support explicit effective

India's current reserve of arable land is extremely limited. Land, as a carrier socio-economic activities, under increasing pressure. Against the backdrop low utilization rate rural resources, comprehensive consolidation great significance for improving regional quality, enhancing productivity, achieving dynamic balance cultivated quantity, and reallocating land-use indicators. The evaluation indicators methods in India still need further exploration. County has abundant resources. However, there are issues such fragmented landscapes, scattered residential areas, uneven quality land. This paper establishes suitability system based on GIS. Using sample data from 215 administrative villages County, City, Sichuan Province, production living space safety patterns were established. Based development situation future planning each village, corresponding suggestions proposed.
