The health status of ecosystems is an important prerequisite for ensuring regional ecological security. Exploring the spatiotemporal patterns, driving mechanisms, and zoning regulation pathways ecosystem great significance achieving co-ordinated sustainable ecosystems. This study uses China as a case area applies InVEST model to measure integrated services incorporates it into evaluation framework based on “Vigor-Organization-Resilience-Ecosystem Services” (VORS) model. It reveals evolution characteristics in from 2000 2020 employs geodetector geographically weighted regression analyze main influencing factors spatial differentiation characteristics, thereby exploring management optimization pathways. results show that (1) during period, overall level showed declining trend, dropping 0.397 0.377 2020. (2) Overall, China’s exhibits strong positive correlation clustering with basic pattern lower values northwest higher southeast. (3) Vegetation coverage, population density, density road network, per capita GDP are China. (4) divided five types Ecological Management Zones: Conservation Zone, Enhancement Buffer Remediation Reshaping differentiated strategies proposed optimizing each zone.

The prolonged and rapid urbanization has intensified land use conflicts, consequently escalating ecological risks. However, the current deficiency in acknowledging adverse impacts of these conflicts hampers effective identification governance. Taking urban agglomeration middle reaches Yangtze River (UAMRYR) as an example, we analyzed regional terms scope, intensity, spatial–temporal patterns based on "risk-effect" conflict framework center gravity-standard deviation ellipse method. Subsequently, elucidated dynamic response 12 natural-social factors to changes intensity using a random forest model. results showed significant 2.9 % decrease proportion areas during latter decade (2010–2020) compared first (2000–2010), there was noticeable shift gravity towards northwest. Over past 20 years, predominant UAMRYR been characterized mild moderate. Specifically, moderate area accounted for 16.02 8.51 region's total from 2000 2010. This decreased 15.84 7.62 2010 2020, respectively. Variations were mainly influenced by climate (annual precipitation, average annual temperature), topography (elevation), economic development (GDP density), displaying pronounced nonlinear characteristics. Accordingly, investigation driving mechanism governance should fully consider influencing factors. Additionally, this study provides methodological guidance identifying rapidly urbanizing areas, serving foundation decision-making territorial spatial

High-intensity land development has led to numerous ecological problems, severely threatening regional sustainable development. Resilience is key maintaining This study focuses on the Taohe River Basin and constructs an resilience evaluation model based framework of ecosystem adaptability, resistance, recovery from perspective resilient functions. Using software such as InVEST Fragstats, assesses spatiotemporal changes in Basin. Based pattern, sources were identified, resistance surfaces constructed, corridors extracted, thereby establishing security pattern for During period, level showed a gradual upward trend. A total 33 source areas accounting 27.57 % area Seventy with length 6478.63 km average 92.55 km. Combining topography, background conditions, current urban status Basin, "two screens, two corridors, five areas, multiple points" was along corresponding optimization suggestions. The research results are great significance optimizing spatial layout, security, promoting integrated Additionally, they provide new ideas assessing resilience.

Ecosystem health is an essential characterization of landscape pattern ecological effects, and refined analysis the variability changes on ecosystem in mountainous areas great significance for synergistic development Man-Earth systems. This study constructed a research framework effects patterns based theory ecology topographic gradient. Taking Miaoling Mountains China as example, used spatial techniques to analyze process from 2000 2020 detected response by using rank correlation analysis. The showed that: (1) area changed significantly during period, especially geographically disadvantaged areas, mainly showing expansion scale forestland shift dominance farmland gently sloping lowland areas. (2) was at average level (mean index (EHI) = 0.58), EHI "V" shape dynamic since 2000. (3) impacted health, effect varies considerably across gradients, with (LSI) Shannon diversity (SHDI) being main factors influencing health. emphasizes importance implementing regional systemic management strategies according local conditions suggests four rational strategies, including zoning controls around farmland. study's results provide valuable reference defining key conservation control indicators restoration regions worldwide.

Ecological degradation is a global issue that seriously threatens sustainable human development, and the evaluation of ecosystem health (EH) primary condition for regional ecological restoration work. In this study, we optimized classic vigor organization resilience (VOR) model analyzed spatial distribution pattern index (EHI) in Sichuan Province 2020 2005. We determined land zone (ESZ), (EDZ), improvement (EIZ) Province. The results indicate (1) kappa values VOR models 2005 were 33.84 32.74, respectively, which below 100. (2) ranges EHI 0.238–0.892 0.218–0.896, respectively. (3) areas EDZ EIZ 41781.84 26032 km2, accounting 8.58 5.35% total area Province, (4) ESZ accounts 36.46% This study beneficial eco-environmental management departments to develop strategies based on local ESZ, EDZ, EIZ.

Land use and cover changes have substantially altered surface landscape patterns, resulting in ecological risk (LER) jeopardizing the continued supply of ecosystem services (ES). Although ES LER are positive negative aspects security representation, respectively, spatiotemporal mechanism their interaction still needs to be further clarified. This study focused on Wuling Mountain Area (WMA), a critical functional zone. First, multi-source data multi-models were used evaluate analyze characteristics. Subsequently, geographically temporally weighted regression model was applied uncover heterogeneity impacts various ES. Finally, zones delineated based LER-ES quadrant, driving force analysis conducted, management strategies proposed. The main results as follows: (1) showed overall decreasing increasing trends, respectively. (2) Except for water yield, impact clear non-stationarity, with significant impact, which most pronounced habitat quality. (3) WMA divided into four zones: prevention zone, conservation enhancement reshaping Elevation, normalized difference vegetation index, human footprint identified drivers zoning. research lays solid foundation in-depth understanding proposed zoning scheme provides strong support ecologically sustainable development WMA.

Based on the need for optimal spatial configuration of national land, this study utilizes a multi-source data integration method at grid scale to precisely assess levels production, living, and ecological functions (PLEFs) in Nanjing Metropolitan Area (NMA). Simultaneously, we develop an identification system both mechanistic equilibrium model comparative advantage index, which is applied identify enhance zoning space (PLES) within NMA. The findings indicate that: (1) production function NMA has shown significant growth trend, while increments living are relatively modest, with each transitioning from concentration dispersion. (2) distribution PLEFs exhibits distinct characteristics: High values concentrated northeast, southwest lower values. Living elevated central region but diminish toward northern southern regions. Ecological south decline There also variations centers gravity these functions. (3) consists six functionally-dominant spaces twelve functionally-composite spaces, showing fluidity during period. (4) In response demand orderly development land sustainable economic growth, categorizes into four zones: priority, livelihood protection, preservation, restoration. priority zone comprises largest proportion, protection smallest. Additionally, proposes tailored optimization strategy, designed serve as scientific benchmark advancing harmonizing space.
