As a crucial catalyst for worldwide economic expansion, the digital economy (DE) has garnered widespread attention and been regarded as promotion of growth innovation. The development DE brings both significant opportunities challenges to city clusters. It enhances urban competitiveness, improves residents’ quality life, strengthens governance, which is great significance In this context, although previous studies comprehensively analyzed advancement certain cities revealed their strategies, challenges, successful experiences in DE, research on determinants enhancing pathways clusters (DEDCC) scant. core node development, clusters, well potential influence, cannot be ignored. Therefore, study investigates Shandong Peninsula Urban Agglomeration China, constructs theoretical analysis framework DEDCC, utilizes fsQCA (Fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis) examine complex causal processes DEDCC. method utilized from configurational perspective explore driving mechanisms objective investigate DEDCC provide insights other Results reveal following: (1) reciprocal collaboration between market factors fundamental should examined accelerate high-quality (2) technological innovation (TI) capacity determinant (3) coordinated market, foundation, TI prioritized achieve

As an important economic growth pole and ecological area in China, the urban agglomeration of Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) is key to carbon emission reduction. Exploring spatial–temporal evolution driving variables its efficiency (CEE) crucial for realizing goals peaking neutrality. The super-efficiency SBM model, nuclear density method, spatial autocorrelation method were used discuss CEE characteristics 105 cities YREB. On factors emissions, geographic detector Tobit model combined explore differentiation from perspective heterogeneity, concurrently analyze single-factor's effecting intensity impacting direction, as well dual-factors' interaction effects. findings indicated that YREB generally showed a slow upward trend during 2006–2021. From time dynamic evolution, intensified, overall development was toward high level. Furthermore, results pattern presents "downstream areas > midstream upstream areas", "high east low west", "hot cold while clustering effect significant, showing distributions low-low or high-high clustering. Moreover, government intervention, growth, technological progress main factors. In addition, interactions intervention other significantly detected. regression advancement had favorable impact on CEE, but foreign investment, urbanization, involvement negative impacts. future, correlations between provinces should be strengthened amplified promote integrated green development, improve environments.

Good economic progress and the coordinated development of urban ecological resilience are essential for achieving protection high-quality development. This study uses 2011-2021 panel data on 110 Yangtze River Economic Belt cities employs an entropy-weighted technique order preference by similarity to ideal solution, coupled coordination degree model, kernel density estimation determine spatiotemporal evolution characteristics regional differences in relationship between quality resilience. Results reveal (1) a close two, whose increases yearly, continuously narrowing disparity development.(2) The types change from imbalance decline dominance development, exhibiting stepwise spatial pattern "downstream>midstream>upstream."Spatial agglomeration is evident, forming clustering characteristic predominantly led high-high areas downstream low-low upstream.(3) most pronounced observed upstream, coupling differs prominently upstream regions. The concluded that interregional disparities primary factors influencing level. The findings provide scientific theoretical support future planning national strategies.

Digitization plays a vital role in fostering economic and social development. This study empirically investigates the impact of digitization on urban industrial structures, technological innovation, public service levels, social–ecological resilience. Various approaches, including two-tier stochastic, spatial econometric, panel threshold models, have been employed to analyze data from 287 cities 2008 2023. These are examined through quasi-natural experiment analyzing evolution resilience following China’s promotion national comprehensive pilot zone for big data. The findings as follows. (1) positive effects ecological substantially outweigh negative effects, with an overall increasing trend net effect, albeit significant regional differences. (2) Digitalization exhibits spillover enhancing local while inhibiting improvements neighboring cities. (3) Technological innovation levels positively affect resilience, whereas structure upgrading has indirect effect. Both demonstrate nonlinear under constraints intermediary mechanism. (4) In terms policy mechanisms, differences structure, capacity, must be considered. approach is essential promoting organic integration across regions, mitigating polarization diffusion

The China Railway Express (CRExpress) is a vital international transportation infrastructure for the advancement of Belt and Road Initiative expansion commerce, providing significant opportunity Chinese companies to undergo sustainable transformation. We use multi-period differences-in-differences model investigate relationship mechanism between opening CRExpress green innovation enterprises, based on panel data A-shared listed from 2007 2020. results show that can significantly increase logarithmic number patent applications by at least 5% in enterprises with spoke radius 250–450 km, it also has positive effect different types patents varying degrees. By examining sub-items ESG ratings, promote through improvement E-score. Additionally, three pivotal pathways have been identified: promotion regional economic development, alleviation corporate financing constraints, reduction logistics expenses. Furthermore, we find turns out larger Secondary Industry Tertiary Industry, manufacturing industry, state-owned firms located eastern central regions. Based empirical study, provide policy implications deepening correlation innovation.
