Purpose This study aims to explore the relationship between managerial ownership and environmental innovation, particularly focusing on impact of minority shareholder protection within context China’s A-share listed companies. Design/methodology/approach The employs a fixed effect model over decade-long sample, analysing secondary data from nonfinancial Chinese firms. two-stage least squares (2SLS) method is adopted address endogeneity concerns. Findings results demonstrate significant positive influence suggesting that top managers who have say in boardroom are inclined towards sustainable development. presence shareholders' positively moderates this relationship, underlining their roles fostering environmentally friendly subsample analysis showed these relationships vary state-owned enterprises (SOEs) non-SOEs. It also differs heavily lightly polluting industries, which indicates it not enough just internal self-management, more external pressure necessary industries. Environmental regulation (Er) is crucial for governments promote green growth efficient Using a dataset 271 cities in China from 2011 2020, this paper investigates the threshold effect innovation science technology industrial structure optimization on Er impacts use efficiency (Ulee). The results show that (1) positively affects Ulee. (2) There (Gin) upgrading (Ind) affecting Ulee, force decreases as value increases. (3) Within examination heterogeneity, impact Ulee more significant eastern, levels urbanization large cities, but action smaller. Based nonlinear Er, it maximize effectiveness by giving full play interactive synergistic "combination box" dynamically flexibly adjusting intensity according time, place, state development.

Improving urban land use eco-efficiency (ULUEE) is of great significance for promoting high-quality economic development and the modernization harmonious coexistence between humans nature. In this study, super efficiency SBM model with undesirable output was used to measure level ULUEE at county scale in Zhejiang province from 2006 2022. Based on this, spatial-temporal evolution spatial agglomeration characteristics were analyzed by using analysis techniques, kernel density analysis, autocorrelation model. Finally, driving mechanisms revealed geographical detector GWR The results as follows: (1) From 2022, rose 0.34 0.73, an average annual growth rate 2.44%. degree differences counties gradually converged. (2) exhibited a significant positive correlation, Moran’s I index increasing 0.3219 0.3715. On local scale, cold spot area mainly distributed north south province, temporal variations observed within hot area. (3) factor detection showed that altitude (X1), topographic relief (X2), forest cover (X3) always played strong role affecting ULUEE. Among socioeconomic factors, foreign trade (X8) had strongest explanatory power early period, GDP per capita (X5) industrial structure (X6) later period. all influencing factors decreased over time. (4) At (X5), (X6), fiscal expenditure (X7) presented effects ULUEE, vitality (X9) negative effect. Enhancing urban industrial land use efficiency (UILUE) is critical for addressing human–land conflicts and promoting sustainable development. However, the role of data trading in influencing UILUE remains insufficiently examined literature. This study explores effect factor marketization (DFM) on its underlying mechanisms.
