Land-use change is an important cause of carbon emissions (CEs). In the context achieving peaking and neutrality goals, understanding coupling mechanisms between land-use CEs great significance for fostering regional low-carbon sustainable development. this study, net (LCN) calculation evaluation model was built based on perspective change. The variation matrix, standard deviation ellipse, spatial autocorrelation analysis were used to analyze spatio-temporal evolution LCN in Chengyu urban agglomeration (CUA) from 2000 2020. Meanwhile, economic contribution coefficient ecological support applied evaluate alignment among CEs, socio-economic development, environment. addition, modified Kaya Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index (LMDI) models quantitatively drivers underlying influence LCN. results showed following: (1) area built-up land forest expanded rapidly, mainly transforming grassland farmland CUA during study period. main source CEs. changes led migration center variations clustering. Introduction: In order to improve ecological and environmental governance capacities, this study explores the creation efficacy of a horizontal carbon compensation, aiming enhance capabilities. Amid global climate change, the pursuit of low-carbon development has become a unified international goal. The Qinba Mountain region plays an important role in maintaining China's ecological security, making spatial zoning tailored for carbon neutrality vital local sustainable development. Using land use and socioeconomic data from 2000 to 2020 81 county-level units, neutral framework was developed, considering natural, economic, resource factors. This study further integrated spatiotemporal dynamics index multi-scenario predictions future emission (CE) zoning. results revealed that had overall positive net-carbon trend without significant deficits, central faced increased CE northern weak carrying capacity. predicted continued decrease under scenario reached 30.55 million t by 2060, with only nine units failing reach their peaking 2030. Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate whether urban energy planning can effectively guide enterprises in practicing green development concepts. Design/methodology/approach Using China’s New Energy Demonstration City Pilot Policy (NEDC) as an exogenous shock, uses a difference-in-differences model evaluate the impact on corporate innovation. Land urbanization (LU) is a defining feature of China’s process and has led to significant carbon emission challenges. To clarify the interaction mechanism between LU emissions (CEs), this study examines temporal spatial characteristics CEs as well direct spillover effects in east Hu Line. Specifically, three representative regions are selected for heterogeneity analysis: Three Northeast Provinces region (TNP), Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei (BTH), Southeast Coastal (SC). The findings follows: (1) Both exhibited consistent upward trends, with average annual growth rates 4.3% 3.5%, respectively. (2) Empirical results demonstrate that indirect effect coefficients on 0.129 −0.224, (3) significantly positive both TNP SC, respective 0.336 0.177. Notably, observed exclusively TNP, coefficient 0.174. In contrast, exerts no influence BTH. research offer valuable insights into formulation differentiated policies effective reduction policies.

Land use, as one of the major sources carbon emissions, has profound implications for global climate change. County-level land-use systems play a critical role in national emission management and control. Consequently, it is essential to explore spatiotemporal effects optimization strategies emissions at county scale promote achievement regional dual targets. This study, focusing on Shaanxi Province, analyzed characteristics land use from 2000 2020. By establishing evaluation model, county-level were clarified. Utilizing Geodetector K-means clustering methods, driving mechanisms elucidated, explored. The results showed that during 2000–2020, Province underwent significant changes, with constructed increasing by 97.62%, while cultivated grassland substantially reduced. overall exhibited pattern North > Central South. total within province increased nearly fourfold over 20 years, reaching 1.00 × 108 tons.
