Reconstructing ice phenology of a lake with complex surface cover: a case study of Lake Ulansu during 1941–2023

Abstract.
Lake
ice
phenology
plays
a
critical
role
in
determining
the
hydrological
and
biogeochemical
dynamics
of
catchments
regional
climates.
Lakes
with
complex
shorelines
abundant
aquatic
vegetation
are
challenging
for
retrieving
lake
via
remote
sensing
data,
primarily
because
mixed
pixels
containing
plants,
land,
ice.
To
address
this
challenge,
new
double-threshold
moving
t-test
(DMTT)
algorithm,
which
uses
Scanning
Multichannel
Microwave
Radiometer
(SMMR)
Special
Sensor
Microwave/Imager–Special
Imager/Sounder
(SSM/I–SSMIS)
sensor-derived
brightness
temperature
data
at
3.125
km
resolution
long-term
ERA5
was
applied
to
capture
Ulansu
from
1979
2023.
Compared
previous
DMTT
algorithm
employs
air
time
series
assist
abrupt
change
points
two
distinct
thresholds
calculate
freeze-up
start
(FUS)
break-up
end
(BUE)
dates.
This
method
effectively
improved
detection
information
pixels.
Furthermore,
we
extended
Ulansu's
back
1941
random
forest
(RF)
model.

Ground-dwelling
arthropods
interact

vertebrates,
plants,
detritus,
and
microbes
as
important
players
in
forest
ecosystems.
Human
disturbance
threatens
the
diversity
of
arthropods,

taxa.

little
impact
human
overwintering
ground-dwelling
arthropod
mature
subtropical
evergreen
forests.
In
order
to
test
how
varies
by
distance

areas,
set
108
pitfall
traps
along
four
100
m
transects
beginning
near
areas

China.

collected
30,616
representing
96
morphospecies.

results
show
that
Shannon,
Simpson,
Pielou’s
evenness
