Accurate analysis of regional eco-environment quality (EEQ) changes is essential for urban sustainability. Most the widely used EEQ indicators ignore impact air pollution caused by urbanization and economic growth. This study proposed a remote sensing-based approach using time-series comprehensive evaluation index (CEI), which was developed PM2.5 concentration, Land surface temperature (LST), vegetation coverage (VC) to assess in Demonstration Zone Green Integrated Ecological Development The Yangtze River Delta (demonstration zone) from 2000 2020. all districts townships were classified into five levels. results suggested that 2020, CEI significantly decreased (p < 0.01) demonstration zone, indicating an overall improvement EEQ. Differences mean annual values found among wnships. Higher values, indicated lower degree areas where build-up land comprised higher percentage total area. Abstract. Lake ice phenology plays a critical role in determining the hydrological and biogeochemical dynamics of catchments regional climates. Lakes with complex shorelines abundant aquatic vegetation are challenging for retrieving lake via remote sensing data, primarily because mixed pixels containing plants, land, ice. To address this challenge, new double-threshold moving t-test (DMTT) algorithm, which uses Scanning Multichannel Microwave Radiometer (SMMR) Special Sensor Microwave/Imager–Special Imager/Sounder (SSM/I–SSMIS) sensor-derived brightness temperature data at 3.125 km resolution long-term ERA5 was applied to capture Ulansu from 1979 2023. Compared previous DMTT algorithm employs air time series assist abrupt change points two distinct thresholds calculate freeze-up start (FUS) break-up end (BUE) dates. This method effectively improved detection information pixels. Furthermore, we extended Ulansu's back 1941 random forest (RF) model. The reconstructed 2023 indicated that had average FUS BUE dates 15 ± 5 November 25 6 March, respectively, an cover duration (ICD) 130 8 d. Over last 4 decades, ICD has shortened by 22 Air primary impact factor, accounting 56.5 % 67.3 variations dates, respectively. We reconstructed, first time, longest over large shallow surface cover. argue can be retrieve other similar lakes, not been fully explored worldwide.

Ground-dwelling arthropods interact with vertebrates, plants, detritus, and microbes as important players in forest ecosystems. Human disturbance threatens the diversity of arthropods, varied impacts on different taxa. However, we understand little impact human overwintering ground-dwelling arthropod mature subtropical evergreen forests. In order to test how varies by distance residential areas, set 108 pitfall traps along four 100 m transects beginning near areas edges a Central China. We collected 30,616 representing 96 morphospecies. The results show that Shannon, Simpson, Pielou’s evenness indices, well effective number species at α = 1 2, decrease when are within 60 areas. Moreover, coefficients variation these three indices higher sites closer 11.54–17.72%. Such high variations widely used indicate estimation bias is more likely occur suggest aspects community composition should be studied assess effects diversity.

Submerged macrophytes play a crucial role in the ecological restoration of aquatic environments, and enclosed plot planting technology is one economical effective methods to establish submerged macrophyte communities high-turbidity water bodies. This study focused on Vallisneria spinulosa Yan (V. spinulosa), examining impact mechanism density effectiveness V. growth systems constructed within plots, based its physiological characteristics as well purification effects system. The research results indicate that low medium densities (50–100 plants/m2) favor leaf elongation expansion, root diameter, surface area, volume, while high (150–200 inhibit growth. content photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, carotenoids) increased with density. At densities, significant increases superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), malondialdehyde (MDA) levels suggest enhanced antioxidant activity. High protein at indicates stronger metabolic Medium (100 had increasing dissolved oxygen (DO), regulating pH, reducing electrical conductivity (EC), exhibited optimum removal loadings for total phosphorus (TP), phosphate (PO43−-P), nitrogen (TN), nitrate (NO3−), achieving average value 0.44, 0.42, 6.94, 0.83 mg m−2 d−1. findings this can provide theoretical basis technical support practical projects involving environments.

ABSTRACT Underwater light is a key factor that affects the growth of submerged macrophytes. However, responses different forms macrophytes to quality remain unclear. The morphological, physiological, photosynthetic, and stoichiometric erect Potamogeton crispus ( P. ) low‐canopy Elodea nuttallii E. six qualities (white light, R/B = 1:8, 1: 4, 1:1, 4:1, 8:1) were studied by control experiment. (1) No significant differences observed in germination number, leaf length, width under p > 0.05). Both produced greater plant heights, more leaves branches red (4:1, 8:1), which was beneficial for extension leaves. Under white number , adventitious roots branch lowest. (2) Compared blue (1:4, 1:8) conducive synthesis photosynthetic pigments. excessive not accumulation result malondialdehyde showed physiological stress induced stronger. (3) N:P, C:N, C:P ratios higher nutrients two macrophy; however, contents TN TP light. Two grew better adapted eutrophic water dominated aquatic restoration, other need be supplemented after improved.
