Understanding the relationship between urban fabrics and sustainability is essential for addressing contemporary challenges, as provide critical morphological socio-economic data that enhance our understanding of performance spatial variability systems. This study focuses on Cuenca, spatially divided into a 150 m radius hexagonal grid with 30 indicators 18 fabric typologies. Using spatial, statistical, visual analysis, relationships patterns types are explored. The results reveal significant variation in across different types, built environment playing central role. There marked heterogeneity: inner-core areas exhibit higher sustainability, fringe lag behind, transitional zones also identified. Spatial clustering reveals homogeneous terms at both high low extremes but heterogeneous mid-range areas. quantitative analysis Cuenca’s typologies highlights substantial differences distinct patterns, offering valuable insights evidence-based planning. open-source tools provided facilitate customisation replication other contexts.

Urban decarbonization is critical for addressing climate change, given that urban areas are major contributors to global greenhouse gas emissions. In this paper there synthesized findings from several studies on indicators decarbonization. The review highlights the complexity of measuring due diverse and interconnected factors involved. Key indicate while numerous available, no single measure captures full scope outcomes. Instead, a combination necessary provide comprehensive assessment. also identifies best practices successful case various cities have implemented effective strategies. Despite progress, significant challenges remain, including data availability, financial constraints, need coordinated governance structures. underscores importance continuous improvement in measurement methodologies integration multiple guide policy decisions. This literature contributes growing body knowledge provides foundation future research development.

Urban areas globally are increasingly challenged by climate change, rapid urbanization, and environmental degradation, necessitating innovative solutions for sustainable development. Blue–Green Infrastructures (BGIs) have emerged as a promising approach, integrating water management systems with natural vegetative elements to create resilient urban landscapes. By fostering synergy between ecosystems built environments, BGIs offer multifunctional benefits including flood mitigation, heat reduction, biodiversity enhancement. This article examines the role of in boosting resilience, highlighting several exemplary projects Spain qualitative quantitative way that demonstrate its potential transform into adaptive spaces.

Abstract This research examines the resilience levels of areas in Tabriz metropolis and this regard emphasizes various dimensions such as physical-spatial, social, infrastructure, urban structure institutional dimensions. For purpose, multi-criteria decision-making methods have been used. Among them, spatial-physical, had greatest impact on ranking these areas. However, special point is that it suggests a method for policymakers to increase their resilience.

With the increasing frequency of various uncertainties and disturbances faced by urban systems, resilience is one vital components sustainability modern cities. An indicator system constructed to measure levels Yichang–Jingzhou–Jingmen–Enshi (YJJE) agglomeration during 2010–2023 based on four domains—economy, ecology, society, infrastructure. This paper analyzes spatiotemporal differentiation in YJJE conjunction with entropy weight method, Getis–Ord Gi* model, robustness testing. Then, factor contribution model used discern key driving elements resilience. Finally, CA-Markov implemented predict 2030. The results reveal that values increase at a rate 3.25%/a continue rise, differences among cities narrowing over examined period. Furthermore, exhibits significant spatially heterogeneity distribution, Xiling, Wujiagang, Xiaoting, Yidu, Zhijiang, Dianjun, Dangyang, Yuan’an, Yiling, Duodao being high-value agglomerations resilience, Hefeng, Jianli, Shishou, Wufeng low-value marked reflects disparity economic progress across study area. total amount social retail, financial expenditure per capita, GDP park green space area, disposable income number buses 10,000 people surface as influencing factors relation within will reach medium level or higher than Yuan’an remain hot spots while Jianli cold spot. In nutshell, this can provide scientific references policy recommendations for policymakers, planners, researchers aspects sustainable city.
