This study establishes and refines a social-landscape ecological security pattern that integrates the demand supply of ecosystem services, providing substantial foundation for restoration territorial spaces. is crucial enhancing effectiveness “social–ecological” systems in achieving sustainable development. This study aims to develop a forest landscape stability assessment framework that integrates structure, function, and resilience assess under different landform types on the Loess Plateau, propose differentiated optimization strategies. This study adopts the “Risk-Association-Driver” framework to construct a sustainable security evaluation from three dimensions of ecosystem service value, ecological risk, and drivers, with aim providing recommendations for regional function enhancement risk prevention control promoting development. Abstract Effective landscape management is vital for maximizing the availability of ecosystem service functions (ESF). However, how pattern simultaneously affects multiple ESF across time and space, specifically regarding changes in their relationships, has not been comprehensively evaluated. Accordingly, current study examines dynamic impact on interactions among ES trade-offs China's Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) from 1990 to 2020. Five key are evaluated: carbon sequestration (CS), food supply (FS), habitat quality (HQ), water retention (WR), soil conservation (SC). The geographical temporal weighted regression model adopted analyze these relationships influenced by over 30 years. Over past three decades, overall amounts FS, WR, SC have increased, with only WR exhibiting a sustained increasing trend, while CS HQ significantly decreased. trade-off coordination effects generally transitioned synergies, CS–FS change more pronounced, shifting weak (− 0.29) synergies (0.20). Significant spatial variations were also observed. Most ESF. Rapid urbanization poses a serious threat to China’s ecological security. However, the current single-spatio-temporal-scenario network constructed based on situation of natural resources and land use ignores dynamic changes in urban development, its stability connectivity lack verification feedback. On basis constructing existing network, paper forecasts expansion future optimizes overall study area from three aspects: source areas, corridors, nodes. The results showed following: (1) From 1990 2020, large amount forest Guanzhong region was converted into cultivated land, while same applies 2020–2050. 2050, habitat quality shows downward trend, exhibiting gradual decrease center towards edges. Constructing an ecological security pattern in ecologically fragile areas is crucial for maintaining regional stability. This study focuses on the Kunlun Mountain region, identifying sources based habitat suitability assessments and ecosystem services.
