Neglected and underutilized crop species (NUCS) are those that have been largely overlooked in mainstream agriculture, despite their potential to contribute food security, nutritional diversity, resilience climate change. These crops often undervalued, resulting limited research underproduction, significant for enhancing agricultural sustainability. The study addresses the need diversification due insecurity, monotonous diets, It focuses on NUCS, which at risk of genetic loss or negative perceptions by growers consumers. aimed document these crops, assess farmers' opinion, identify challenges production consumption, analyse contribution household security. Through a multi-stage sampling method, 246 households were interviewed, along with focus group discussions key informant interviews. documented 32 used as supplements staple help mitigate crises caused However, producing consuming is associated poverty. analysis revealed 50 % respondents poor 30 borderline, only 20 an acceptable level. Factors such age, sex, farming experience, size, farm size significantly impact consumption crops. concludes proper documentation seed multiplication extension institutions crucial preserving change threatens production.

Introduction Against the backdrop of global warming and frequent occurrence extreme weather events, effectively bringing into play effectiveness agricultural insurance in supporting agriculture enhancing resilience economy is universal significance for countries around world. This study aims to explore impact on economy, as well whether plays a role relationship between two. Methods Based panel data 31 provinces (autonomous regions municipalities directly under Central Government) China from 2011 2022, this paper selects 15 indicators three dimensions, namely pressure layer, state response measures by using entropy method. Furthermore, through fixed effects model moderating model, empirically analyzes impacts changes such high temperatures, low precipitation examines context. Finally, explores different are consistent, regions. Results The has revealed that changes, predominantly characterized detrimental enhancement economic resilience. Conversely, can alleviate negative economy. Meanwhile, results heterogeneity test further validate adverse therein. Overall, more pronounced central eastern compared western region. Similarly, evident than Discussion analysis, reasons inconsistent By comparing systems with those other countries, an international perspective, policy framework constructed, which takes promoting high-quality development its core. framework, puts forward some suggestions may help mitigate production steadily strengthen

Sustainable food production is becoming essential, and a shift from traditional practices to more responsible alternatives aiming generate nutritious, safe, accessible while minimizing environmental impacts crucial. This review article discusses the importance of sustainable technologies in meeting global demand addressing problems regarding climate change. Some key include precision agriculture, hydroponics, aquaponics vertical farming. Precision agriculture uses technology enhance farming efficiency by gathering data on soil water variations optimizing like planting, fertilization, irrigation. Hydroponics are other for growing plants using as much 90% less producing compared conventional methods, can increase crop yield per land area, particularly urban settings, due its potential reduce strain agricultural suitable regions. Additionally, genetic modification help create desirable traits some making them plausible integrate systems, but this requires careful management. Furthermore, nanotechnology emerging another method poised transform providing efficient solutions nutrient regulation, plant growth, disease resistance whereas Agriculture 5.0 combines with modern improve production. Finally, alternative protein sources, such plant-based, insects, cultured meat, mycoprotein microalgae have emerged solution meat Integrating abovementioned into crucial achieving multiple Development Goals.

Abstract Millennial farmers’ entrepreneurial behaviour cannot be separated from the influence of economic environment because will affect business sustainability. This analysis examines (access to capital and credit, access market networks) on millennial farmers in Special Region Yogyakarta Province, Indonesia. research utilizes a quantitative approach with survey methods. The sample consists 219 who are Komisariat Daerah Petani members. Sampling was done by simple random sampling. Data were processed using multiple linear analyses. findings show that variable markets networks as could improve farmers. Variables credit do not behavior. Access have positive impact behaviour. can improved entrepreneurship training digital marketing, empowering mentoring.
