In recent years, complex interactions between intratumoral bacteria and neutrophils have been identified as significant factors in tumor occurrence development. This commentary synthesizes findings from the past five years to explore these interactions. It is observed that during progression, promote neutrophil infiltration formation of extracellular traps (NETs), which turn drive development metastasis. Conversely, infiltrating are also capable slowing progression by limiting number bacteria. dual role underscores a potential avenue for improving cancer treatment outcomes.

The cascade of metastasis in tumor cells, exhibiting organ-specific tendencies, may occur at numerous phases the disease and progress under intense evolutionary pressures. Organ-specific relies on formation pre-metastatic niche (PMN), with diverse cell types complex interactions contributing to this concept, adding a new dimension traditional cascade. Prior metastatic dissemination, as orchestrators PMN formation, primary tumor-derived extracellular vesicles prepare fertile microenvironment for settlement colonization circulating cells distant secondary sites, significantly impacting cancer progression outcomes. Obviously, solely intervening sites passively after macrometastasis is often insufficient. Early prediction holistic, macro-level control represent future directions therapy. This review emphasizes dynamic intricate systematic alterations that progresses, illustrates immunological landscape creation, deepens understanding treatment modalities pertinent metastasis, thereby identifying some prognostic predictive biomarkers favorable early predict occurrence design appropriate combinations.

Based on the proposed lung-intestinal axis, there is a significant correlation between microbiota and lung metastasis. Targeting microbial composition valuable in modulating host response to cancer therapeutics. As traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula, Shuangshen granules (SSG) are clinically useful delaying metastasis, but its underlying mechanisms remain unknown.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) stands as one of the tumors with globally high incidence and mortality rates. In recent years, researchers have extensively explored role tumor immune microenvironment (TME) in CRC, highlighting crucial influence cell populations driving progression shaping therapeutic outcomes. The TME encompasses an array cellular noncellular constituents, spanning cells, myeloid tumor-associated fibroblasts, among others. However, composition within is highly dynamic, evolving throughout different stages progression. These shifts subpopulation proportions lead to a gradual transition response, shifting from early antitumor growth late-stage environment that supports survival. Therefore, it further investigate understand complex interactions various TME. this review, we explore key components varying origins, subpopulations shared elements CRC TME, examining their interconnections critical considerations for developing personalized precise immunotherapy strategies.

Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) formed by neutrophils are netlike scaffolds that mainly contain DNA and a variety of granule proteins. Many stimuli can lead to the NET formation through independent molecular pathways. Clinically, abundance NETs is correlated with poor tumor prognosis. The biological actions complex diverse, including promoting progression, awakening dormant cancer cells, resulting in immunosuppression support growth metastasis. Therefore, NET‐associated pathological processes provide an important clue for both diagnostic imaging alternative therapies many kinds cancers. In recent years, scientists’ efforts have focused on developing novel probes visualize therapeutic strategies degrading or inhibiting its block their pro‐tumoral functions. this review, development evaluation NETs‐targeted intervention progress therapy on.
