Due to urban expansion and limited heat sources, the heating capacity of supply stations is inadequate meet growing demand. In current stations, from primary network generally conveyed secondary solely via plate exchangers, resulting in return water temperature being as high 50 °C, with a substantial amount recoverable waste resources. this paper, case study station insufficient Beijing conducted propose supplemental systems using vapor-compression pumps absorption further extract network. Through TRNSYS platform, simulation models for both were developed. Then, based on bilevel optimization method, design scheme operational strategy co-optimized objective minimizing lifecycle cost. The performance two was compared perspectives energy consumption, economy, additional footprint, regional applicability. results indicate that consumption pump system (VCSHS) 0.85% higher than (ASHS), supplementary 3500 kW. initial cost VCSHS approximately 1 million CNY lower ASHS, while costs are nearly identical, making more cost-effective overall. Additionally, footprint new equipment 30% smaller ASHS. Compared cold regions, it economical adopt ASHSs severe regions due their price.

This study presents an enhanced Faster R-CNN framework that incorporates elliptical bounding boxes to significantly improve building detection in off-nadir imagery, effectively reducing severe geometric distortions caused by oblique sensor angles. Off-nadir imagery enhances architectural detail capture and reduces occlusions, but conventional boxes, such as axis-aligned rotated often fail localize buildings distorted extreme perspectives. We propose a hybrid method integrating for curved structures tilted buildings, achieving more precise shape approximation. In addition, our model squeeze-and-excitation mechanism refine feature representation, suppress background noise, enhance object boundary alignment, leading superior accuracy. Experimental results on the BONAI dataset demonstrate approach achieves rate of 91.96%, outperforming (65.75%) (87.13%) detecting irregular buildings. By providing highly robust adaptable strategy, establishes new standard accurate shape-aware recognition improving distorted, rotated, structures.

Abstract The European Commission has initiated efforts to establish indicator frameworks for monitoring building renovation policies and the decarbonization progress of stock, be developed by EU Member States. chapter suggests that use emerging technologies can improve quality availability data this purpose, focusing on two specific whose potential is explored case Spain. These are, one hand, georeferencing automated cross-referencing existing data, and, other, Digital Building Logbook (DBL). results study show applications include calculating solar estimating energy production, consumption, emissions using Urban Energy Models (UBEMs). UBEM, applied Spain, enables collection previously unavailable indicators, improving mainly in subjects ‘An overview general characteristics national stock’ stock’. Examining feasibility collecting indicators through DBL indicates close 69% all necessary obtained. However, challenges realizing DBL's full involve undefined tool models, owner awareness, funding uncertainties, regulatory alignment, technical hurdles large-scale implementation.
