Climate change intensifies urban uninhabitability due to increasingly frequent heat waves. To alleviate it, climatic shelters emerge as an initiative for the research community, which should deepen integration of technologies that use natural resources cooling. This work aims evaluate a novel shelter by characterizing its thermal behavior through experimental study at bus stop. It has capacity stress occupants thanks cooling modules. The results allow determine water-cooling system and level storage, allowing quantify impact on citizen means COMFA comfort index. is corroborated chilled water temperature reduces surface 15 °C. installation overheating caused solar radiation 75 % compared traditional shelters. also demonstrates energy electrical self-sufficiency even during high intensity maintains daytime between 18 25 °C, in waves exceeding 7 days 45 °C air temperature. index been reduced values 70 120 W/m2 90 worst weather conditions Csa climates Köppen Geiger, months July August 2023.

Outdoor environments extend living spaces as venues for various activities. Comfortable open public can positively impact citizens' health and well-being, thereby improving the livability resilience of cities. Considering visitors' perception these in comfort studies is crucial ensuring their well-being promoting use spaces. However, traditional survey methods may be time- resource-consuming to gather significant sample sizes, usually focusing on selected homogeneous samples. Crowdsourced data, then, has emerged an alternative assessing human perception, it eases collection subjective feedback potentially amplifies inclusivity. This study presents a strategic approach analyzing publicly available willingly reported crowdsourced data from digital mapping platform outdoor evaluations, aiming verify whether are informative regarding environmental quality identify factors that people most sensitive to. Urban parks located New York City served case study. A multi-source, interdisciplinary information framework combined reviews with used determine prevailing thermal conditions. Overall was well-rated, revealing attractions activities probably appealing characteristics park attendance. Regarding acoustic clearly influential. Acoustics were while main aspect domain recognition shading mitigator hot Environmental provided complementary insights, particularly concerning range sensations experienced urban parks. The findings confirm provide valuable insights into crowd presenting suitable effective method include perspective assessments, well evaluate predict environmental-related risks.
