Households in the coastal areas are more vulnerable to various environmental, social, and economic disruptions terms of an intersectionality point view. As a first step mitigating potential effects on families, knowing how susceptible they and, ideally, fortifying themselves against existing is essential. Vulnerability adaptive capacity could not be uniformly distributed between households owing gender-based socio-economic disparities inequities. This research, thereby, examined vulnerability variation headed by males females two emerging economy like Bangladesh. study utilized Evaluation-based Distance from Average Solution (EDAS) method Boosted Regression Trees (BRT) technique conduct analysis. The EDAS has been used analyze index. Using BRT, innovative approach area, we showed that male female-headed different their capability adapt. findings this suggest led than those region across variety dimensions (social, health, economic, housing, land ownership) perspective. can provide new outlook for decision-makers differences among residents thus lead efficient disaster management practices.

Abstract The concept of well-being rural families is part a theory under construction in which new theoretical elements are constantly being incorporated. This research aims to determine the influence farmers’ knowledge on well‑being cocoa growing departments Santander, Huila, Meta and Caquetá, Colombia. Four categories farmers were identified with different levels management cultivation obtained through cluster analysis. farmers, understood as balance capital endowment households, was application semi-structured interview 49 variables human, cultural, social, political, natural, built, financial capitals. results show that heterogeneous study area, slight improvement towards harvesting, post-harvest transformation links. There positive relationship between farming families. Thus, producers greater integral knowledge, emphasis bean links, showed well-being. Random Forest analysis human (political, cultural) made greatest contribution findings contributes households extent it favors vertical relationships (linkages local governments) horizontal (participation association managers, sharing friends, neighbors partners, training).
