Urban heat islands (UHI) have become an increasingly pressing issue owing to the global warming trend and a steady growth of urban areas. Revegetation, shading, or reduction sealed surfaces is not always possible in cities. Therefore, one way fight UHIs through adapting currently used pavements. This study assesses thermal behavior 12 different pavement materials custom-made test stand. The include mastic asphalt ( MA 8, 8 white), porous PA 4, 4 abraded, white, concrete AC 11 transparent, yellow), semi-flexible pavements SFP zeolite). albedo was assessed using pyranometer. Sensors imaging were measure temperatures during two simulated cycles. Both underneath specimens at surface considered, as well cooling times materials. results showed high maximum for MA, low maxima white painted materials, with differences up 15°C. Porous asphalt, like cools faster than from roughly 47°C 28°C, taking 3.7 h compared 8’s 5.1 h. highlights importance considering regional solar phases experimental setups. Through wide range tested significant linear correlation between measured temperature proven. Ultimately, foundation comparability these established.

This study aimed to demonstrate how incorporating titanium dioxide nanoparticles into concrete blocks made with recycled glass mitigates the effects of clogging and surface wear on pavement radiative properties. Using a reference concrete, four variants were formulated: colourless, green, amber glass, photocatalytic colourless glass. Three accelerated processes applied in field: clogging, wear, worn surface. After each cycle and/or solar reflectance thermal emittance measured calculate index (SRI). Surface decreased SRI for all types, albeit less until mean texture depth (MTD) near 0.80 mm, where stabilisation trend was noted across concretes. Photocatalytic consistently showed highest values relative MTD. Clogging surfaces indicated superior properties at contamination degree (SCD) than 40%. In conclusion, conventional concretes had inferior compared concrete. However, properties, indicating that nano-TiO2 addition reduced effects.

Cognitive development starts from concrete thinking processes to higher levels, namely abstract and logical concepts. According Piaget, children are naturally interested in the world actively seek information that can help them understand world. This research aims describe students' cognitive based on Jean Piaget's theory of how it is implemented science learning at junior high school level. uses qualitative methods with a descriptive analysis approach. means this researcher chose use primary secondary sources (books, journals, websites, etc.) regarding developmental according Piaget as source data. focuses implications or involvement theory. The results show implementing educators stages characteristics so they determine levels choose strategies appropriate development.
