This article raises awareness of Building Information Management (BIM) and its significance for Construction 4.0. BIM is often mistakenly understood only as a 3D model building object, but true potential lies in the information associated with (e.g., mechanical physical properties, costs, etc.). Models can subsequently be used energy management (BEM) at all stages object’s life cycle. focuses on possibility creating using available libraries Czech Republic provided by manufacturers suppliers materials subsequent use modelling. The results obtained from computational modelling are then compared real values measured timber construction located Ostrava (Czech Republic). These show that properly configured allows faster data processing while maintaining quality outputs results. Additionally, there to eliminate common pitfalls design thermal assessments objects.
