The unpredictability of renewable energy systems can affect the stability electricity grid, causing voltage and frequency imbalances. In this work, a suitable methodology based on peer-to-peer scheme applied to communities is developed implemented in simulation tool useful for investigating management strategies decision-making aims. model discretizes community its users into multiple control volumes, taking account various technologies. It incorporates balances individual as well entire community, considering prosumers, consumers, storage systems, electric vehicles. Moreover, enables exploration different solutions grid regulation optimization distributed resources. Additionally, predict demand one day ahead, facilitating organization availability minimize interactions flatten demand. objective functions, including self-consumption, self-sufficiency, grid-balancing factors, evaluate performance communities. To show capability model, it will be adopted optimize an investigated community. As result, increase self-consumption from 59.4 83.9 MW h/year achieved. Furthermore, balancing was achieved by guaranteeing non-fluctuating load providing 1.46 7.71 upward downward regulation. These findings illustrate positive impact dispatching integration sources importance further studying topic ensure stability.

With the deregulation and urgent necessity of decarbonizing electricity sector, end users have been empowered to actively partake in operation system. In this context, energy communities arise as a regulatory framework that allows aggregating group domestic consumers (or prosumers) order share own resources such storage or photovoltaics. However, collective assets should be properly designed exploit them an optimal way well avoid oversizing components, which may result higher expenditures economically harmful. This new paradigm calls for developing proper computational tools optimally planning operating communities. paper, novel tool photovoltaic arrays cooperative is developed. problem encompasses continuous binary variables, are evaluated over long time horizons characterized through representative sets. These features make computationally costly even unaffordable average machines. Renewable energy communities (RECs) are considered a promising tool for putting the citizens at center of transition, while also promoting self-sufficiency coming from local resources and decarbonization through high penetration renewables. A key challenge when operating RECs is represented by number decision variables to consider depending on type community participants distributed technologies, considering associated uncertainties. Moreover, monetarization shared in benefitting residential users crucial. The contribution this paper present an innovative stochastic linear programming model optimizing sharing maximize revenues with incentives as established Italian regulation. REC under study consists condominium PV plant installed rooftop, air conditioning battery storage systems each apartment. problem find optimal control strategies batteries 15-minute time-step, which expected revenue meeting users' comfort requirements preventing bills increasing. The European Union defined the ambitious carbon-neutrality goal for 2050. Such a transition must be done gradually to avoid huge investments; therefore, medium-term energy planning of supply systems performed properly considering both economic and environmental aspects. Sector coupling measures aid achieve this target, although they require remarkable financial investment. This paper presents an innovative methodology university campus "Marche Polytechnic University" located in Italy towards carbon neutrality, i.e., 50 % emissions reduction by investment is multi-carrier local community with multiple technologies such as photovoltaic, combined heat power, gas-fired boilers, absorption, electric chillers that satisfy end-users' demand.
