The volume of e-waste generated worldwide is surging, and it set to escalate further due continuing technological innovation the early obsolescence most electrical electronic equipment (EEE). Even though there are many studies on management, environmental health consequences regarding direct exposure during informal recycling indirect through contamination poorly studied. This study analyses dumping practices in selected countries such as Brazil, China, India, Mexico, Pakistan. Several databases, Science Direct, ProQuest, Web Science, Emerald, were used analyse from 2005 2022. Based Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) protocol, 179 journal articles evaluated. found that majority managed terms ecological safety soundness. also illegal dumping, acid leaching, open burning, which harm environment well-being workers, still being performed by countries. provides several practical suggestions addressing recycling.

Using biomass waste for renewable energy and sustainable fuel production has gained significant attention recently. This review investigates the potential sources biocoke in Indonesia. Biocoke, a form of solid derived from biomass, emerged as viable alternative to traditional coke various industrial applications, including steelmaking. comprehensively analysed available literature data identify Indonesia's most abundant suitable sources. The assessment considered availability, sustainability, content, compatibility with processes. environmental impacts associated utilization were also considered. findings reveal that Indonesia possesses rich diversity high production. Agricultural residues, such rice straw, corn stalks, palm oil are identified promising feedstocks due their abundance availability throughout country. Moreover, can contribute management alleviate concerns open burning landfilling. highlights importance practices collection processing. Efficient logistics systems advanced conversion technologies crucial ensure production's economic viability sustainability. Furthermore, is examined by considering factors feedstock costs, efficiency, market demand. challenges barriers, technological, regulatory, market-related aspects, discussed provide comprehensive overview feasibility large-scale Overall, this underscores valuable resource By harnessing streams country, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, promote development sector.

The availability of ample solar energy resources holds significant importance for populated islands as it represents a vital avenue ensuring sustainable provision while reducing reliance on external sources. proposed system is designed to offer residential solutions, providing promising answer fulfill the varied requirements modern islands. This innovative integrates parabolic trough collectors, cascaded organic Rankine cycle (ORC), hydrogen production unit via electrolysis, and water desalination through membrane modules. By employing an optimized methodology, this enhances thermal efficiency setup enables island communities access natural gas resources. A robust programming code has been crafted comprehensively evaluate from standpoints energy, exergy, economics, environment. engineered accomplish range objectives, including generation 1.2 MW electricity, meeting cooling load 460 kW, producing 9.7 kg/h hydrogen, supplying 33 kg/s desalinated water. In addition, delivered consumer network at rate 3.09 kg/s. financial assessment, which includes initial investment ongoing maintenance, shows that cost whole 142 $/h, with estimated levelized 33.2 Cent/m3 fresh findings environmental assessment indicate potential mitigating carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, maximum reduction 254 kg/h. in CO2 emissions leads corresponding decrease emission rate, be approximately 7 $/h.
