This study explores the transition of Canary Islands from a fossil fuel-dependent energy system to decarbonized economy framework by 2040, utilizing novel Best Estimate Plus Uncertainty (BEPU) approach integrated with Wilk's formula. The research focuses on challenges and methodologies involved in shifting green sources—specifically solar photovoltaic, wind nuclear power—while also incorporating hydrogen as an alternative vector for non-electrifiable sectors. BEPU is central methodology, enhanced correlation analysis synthetic curve generation techniques address inherent variability renewable sources fluctuating demands identify most important inputs uncertainties optimized deterministic scenario. Using Formula, this methodology allows detailed examination 459 different input variable random combinations speed, sun irradiance, electric demand uncertainties, reaching 99/99% coverage confidence levels. 60% simulations showed shortages, potential up 5.2% total demand.
