Abstract As global climate change becomes increasingly severe, energy technology innovation has become a key means of coping with the crisis and realizing green low-carbon development. However, existing literature rarely examines effects carbon emission reduction policies based on perspective progress for both short-term economic fluctuations long-term equilibrium. This paper introduces fossil sector renewable into dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) model, compares effectiveness cap policy, subsidy policy under framework China’s trading market in promoting macroeconomic growth controlling pollutant emissions. We found that long-term, effect falls short other two policies, subsidizing fuel technologies is more cost-efficient comparatively. The government expenditure shock can all stimulate crowding out private investment household consumption, whereas research productivity leads to decline total output an increase demand. In response to the increasing demands for net-zero carbon emissions in Taiwan and globally, this study explores feasibility of implementing microgrid technologies convenience stores reduce emissions. The utilizes commercial simulation tool HomerPro evaluate performance integrating solar wind power into systems, aligning with Taiwan's current priorities renewable energy development. analysis incorporates pricing scenarios, grid reliability considerations, financial variables such as discount inflation rates. We simulated 256 system configurations identify most economically viable solutions under various conditions. results indicate that systems can significantly lower costs emissions, especially high carbon-price scenarios. These benefits provide strong incentives businesses adopt carbon-neutral strategies. findings valuable insights policymakers businesses, highlighting critical role reducing green purchase prices improving economic feasibility. Future research impacts other sources, offering broader technical support achieving neutrality.

Energy-saving renovation of rural residences is an effective means promoting sustainable development. This study focuses on a single-story residential building located in Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province, China (a cold region), as case study. Retrofits were conducted the exterior windows, roof, and walls, with addition sunroom. Using life cycle assessments (LCAs) orthogonal experimental methods combined value engineering principles, we calculated various indicators including energy efficiency improvement rate, implied carbon emissions, proportion footprint, reduction payback period, investment period. The impact traditional retrofitting measures these was analyzed. results indicate that emissions from production materials are key concern among embodied retrofits, while transportation, construction, demolition contribute minimally. Changes depth sunroom had most significant comprehensive indicators, followed by changes to roof. After retrofitting, rate underestimated 9.35% 12.02% due emissions. period for all schemes estimated be between 3.27 4.21 years. Based current market conditions, developing corresponding economics can enhance economic viability project. approach extends more than 7% also helping narrow income gap urban residents some extent.
