Energy is a crucial factor for urban development. Cities have role in climate change, as they use 2/3 of the world’s energy, producing 70% greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In order to reduce large ecological footprint utilization conversional energy sources (coal, gas, and oil) enhance nation’s independence (security), it find alternative fuels. Biomass residues are characterized sustainable carbon-neutral source. Hence, this review describes critical assessment not only quality characteristics several waste biomass bioenergy production biofuels but also value-added products that could be produced from wastes industry (e.g., pharmaceutical, cosmetics, packaging industry, etc.).
