The sustainability of energy consumption in urban agglomerations has become a growing concern. This study investigates the decoupling effect and socioeconomic factors top five China from 2011 to 2020. First, relationship between economic development was assessed. Subsequently, logarithmic mean Divisia index method used decompose change into factors. main findings show following: (1) status major unstable during whole period, expansive negative prominent agglomerations. (2) that contributed growth were investment (ΔCI), intensity (ΔCEI), per population gross domestic product (ΔCPG), urbanization rate (ΔCUR), while only factor hindered support coefficient (ΔCIP). Finally, policy recommendations aim help Chinese policymakers practitioners achieve win–win balance energy-saving context, such as promoting low-carbon, economic, green construction modes, reducing intensity, an orderly manner.

ABSTRACT This study explores the interplay between land and water productivity green energy in emerging economies' environmental degradation. Using sophisticated second‐generation diagnostic approaches, found cross‐section dependence, slope heterogeneity, presence long‐run equilibrium relationships stationary variables. For analysis, uses Driscoll–Kraay fixed effect random regression models. concludes that economic agriculture, forest, fishing, value added (referred as degradation) are significant drivers carbon emissions, which improves On other hand, results revealed use significantly reduce emissions level improve region's robust authenticated by linear heteroskedastic panels corrected standard errors. recommends further investment development, energy, projects. However, policymakers should revise existing policies regarding agriculture growth norms while replacing traditional practices.

It is of great significance to optimize water resource management and promote sustainable development in the Tarim River Basin (TRB) by using footprint (WF) evaluation method evaluate shortage fruit trees TRB analyse its water-saving potential. This study aimed elucidate WF spatial–temporal distribution characteristics water-limited from 2000 2020 their potential capability. The was calculated a combination irrigation technology simulation usage assessments for four different (apple, pear, date, walnut). results indicate that green (WFgreen) initially increased then decreased, reaching lowest value only 175.09 m3/t 2020, decreased 22.71% 2020. WFblue 47.13% over same period. In date walnut accounted higher percentage WFblue. significantly exceeded WFgreen, indicating high consumption limited adoption technologies area. Due increase tree planting area fertilization, WFgrey exhibited an overall upward trend. Meanwhile, total (WFtotal) indicated general downward trend, though had highest WFtotal at 2.21 × 105 m3/t, popularization technology. show that, taking as baseline, 2.64 (accounting 89.1%), 0.73 (a decrease 48.38%) after drip irrigation, five prefectures range 38.55–56.18%. Therefore, promotion plays key role alleviating pressure promoting utilization resources TRB.

Agricultural insurance is an important tool for promoting low-carbon agriculture and achieving the “Carbon Peaking Neutrality” goal. Using panel data from 31 provinces in China 2001 to 2020, this study analyzes carbon-reducing effects of agricultural both crop livestock sectors. The results show that: (1) can decrease carbon emissions. (2) For crops, reduces emissions through green technical efficiency, products by technological advances. In recent years, global climate change and human alterations to land use have led a decrease in ecosystem services, making ecosystems more vulnerable. However, unlike the well-established risk assessment frameworks used natural disaster research, concept of ecological risks arising from changes is still its early stages, with nuances methodologies yet be clearly defined. This study proposes new framework for assessing resulting Tarim River Basin. The employs coupled PLUS Invest model evaluate under three development scenarios projected Basin Xinjiang by 2035. findings indicate that: (1) Between 2000 2020, predominant types were primarily unused land, followed grassland cropland. Conversely, grassland, water, construction relatively less prevalent. During this period, area cultivated increased, while forest water exhibited declining trend. Moving forward, 2020 2035, are characterized expansion cropland significant area, other categories demonstrate minor fluctuations. (2) From across various scenarios, total service within demonstrates an overall increasing trend both northern southern marginal zones. Specifically, baseline scenario, amount services decreased 15.247% compared 2020. Similarly, economic amounted 13.358% protection reached 19.852% (3) structure levels multiple consistent pattern, proportion moderate risk. occupy smaller proportions area.
