This paper presents a new approach to optimize the clustering of industrial users and determine appropriate size photovoltaic (PV) systems in renewable energy communities (RECs). By combining data including each company’s consumption profiles based on its ATECO classification, existing installable PV capacity, electricity purchase sale costs, REC incentives, installation proposed algorithm identifies optimal form an economically efficient REC. Additionally, capacity for member is evaluated, taking into account potential constraints available area. As whole, can which cluster companies maximizes net present value (NPV) without compromising payback time (PBT), providing strategic framework aid improving economic performance RECs, correctly sizing community ensuring that investment yields greatest possible financial social benefits. From analysis considered case studies, it appears method allows, as increase NPV from minimum about 25% with no change PBT, up 75% PBT 5 years.

This study examines the steps to lower air emissions in South Korea’s domestic shipping sector. It highlights significant contributions of sector pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, emphasizing its impact on environmental sustainability climate change mitigation. By looking at current energy use research identifies ways reduce shipping. Data was collected from ferry routes fuel reviewed with respect existing global technologies for reducing emissions. The results show that operational changes energy-efficient can quickly cut Furthermore, a long-term plan is suggested, involving development new ship designs net-zero fuels like biofuels, methanol, hydrogen ammonia. These efforts aim meet goals, targeting 40% reduction by 2030 70% 2050, making industry more sustainable resilient.

Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from ports have gained increasing attention due to their significant impact on climate change. Nevertheless, the existing research in this domain remains fragmented, with limited generalizable findings. To address gap, an integrative framework is proposed study systematically review literature and identify future directions. Using Web of Science database, a bibliometric analysis 230 documents in-depth 68 studies are conducted, focusing emission sources, calculations, abatement technologies. Key findings can be drawn as follows: (1) Research port-related GHG has expanded rapidly since Paris Agreement, but international collaboration institutional coordination remain insufficient, hindering development comprehensive solutions. (2) Inconsistent classification sources across leads biases limits comparability. Reclassifying based equipment operation locations could improve both accuracy cross-study alignment. (3) Activity-based approaches primary methods for assessment heavily rely static factor datasets, particularly container ports. Expanding these datasets diverse port types, updating localized factors real-time, integrating alternative energy enhance adaptability accuracy. (4) Current mitigation strategies focus technological innovations, substitution, operational optimization. However, limitations such high implementation costs, slow commercialization, insufficient policy support continue impede progress. achieve zero-carbon operations, should prioritize integration technical innovations economic frameworks. A multidisciplinary approach essential overcoming current barriers promoting sustainable practices management.
