The
underground
power
houses
of
pumped-storage
stations
(PSPSs)
are
highly
complex,
with
interconnected
and
multidimensional
structures,
including
various
tunnels,
such
as
the
main
auxiliary
(MAPH),
transformer
tunnel
(MTT),
tailrace
gate
(TGT),
access
tunnels
(ATs),
cable
(CTs)
etc.
During
intensive
civil
construction
electromechanical
installation,
fire
risk
becomes
particularly
prominent.
Current
research
mainly
examines
incidents
within
individual
lacking
comprehensive
analyses
smoke
spread
across
entire
cavern
network.
Therefore,
in
this
study,
a
numerical
model
complex
PSPS
was
established
to
analyze
behavior
temperature
distribution
under
scenarios.
results
indicated
that
when
occurred
MAPH,
relatively
higher
compared
fires
other
places.
Using
example
from
MAPH
MTT,
process
through
key
connecting
caverns
analyzed.
Initially,
velocity
were
stable,
CTs
traffic
powerhouse
(TCTAP)
paths.
After
7
min,
heat
release
rate
(HRR)
became
ATs
paths
for
spread,
which
could
provide
reference
improving
design
systems.

considerably

Expanding
sector
remains
challenging,
fossil-based
thermal
generation
continuing
dominate,
raising
concerns
about
emissions
sustainability.
Overcoming
barriers
requires
policies,
investment
storage,
smart
grids,
financial
incentives.
Additionally,
renewables
low-carbon
baseload
options
Small
Modular
Reactors
(SMRs)
could
accelerate
transition.
Achieving
will
depend
strong
governmental
commitment,
private
involvement,
technological
innovation
bridge
gap
between
targets
while
significantly
creating
jobs.
