Research on the impact of green finance on carbon emissions: evidence from China

Green finance is an effective means adopted by the Chinese government to reduce carbon emissions. Does development of green in provinces emissions a certain extent? This study selects panel data various and cities China from 2003 2019. Based on Hansen threshold regression model, empirical analysis conducted with economic growth industrial structure as variables test impact The results show that increases speed emission mitigation when PGDP threshold. Taking threshold, presents inverted N shape. At same time, it found has become important eastern region, central region U shape, driving force reduction western weak. Furthermore, pointed out improving quality enhancing level empowered science technology are keys realizing sustainable development.
