Abstract This research investigates the bidirectional cointegration relationship between environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance corporate green innovation with a panel of 770 Chinese listed firms during 2011–2020. We find that there exists long‐run comovement ESG output. exerts short‐run causal link The test VECM estimation also support moves together output for clean industries, while only presents to invention patents pollution industries. This research examines the impact of economic policy uncertainty (EPU) on green innovation by using panel fixed effects model from 2000 to 2017 for samples 31 provinces in China. The general conclusion is that there exists a positive link EPU innovation, and varies significantly among different have diverse levels marketization trade openness. Specifically, with higher degrees openness witnessed stronger whereas correlation rather weak regions low those two factors. Our findings serve as reference how governments may boost face increasing EPU.

This study uses global patent cooperation data from 1999 to 2020, employs social network analysis, and explores the changes in driving forces of innovation networks (GINs) past 20 years as well change China's position system. The results show that on whole, accessibility GINs has continuously improved, showing scale‐free characteristics. important nodes are mainly developed countries such Europe United States, node polarization effect weakened; four agglomeration subgroups. phenomenon subgroups factions is not obvious. Further factor identification shows economic factors technological information have strongest correlation with demographic a weaker network.
