The power sector is one of the major CO2-emitting industries in China. It also first key emissions control industry included China’s national carbon trading market established 2021. Therefore, based on data 30 provinces and cities China from 2015 to 2022, this study analyzes impact policy generalized Difference-in-Difference (DID) model. Based method text analysis, paper constructs intensity index each region incorporates it into DID Empirical analysis finds that can significantly inhibit industry. However, heterogeneity shows has a significant regions already have pilot, but not non-pilot regions. demonstrates effectiveness control, exposes between regions, providing an important empirical basis for inclusion other energy-intensive industries.
