Abstract
With
institutional
innovation
as
its
core
mission,
pilot
free
trade
zones
are
important
channels
that
accelerate
the
green
transformation
of
enterprises,
a
process
essential
for
achieving
sustainable
development.
Based
on
quasi-natural
experiment
zone
policies,
this
research
selects
panel
data
China’s
A-share
listed
companies
from
2008
to
2022
empirically
test
impact
these
policies
firms’
by
using
multi-period
difference-in-differences
method.
The
findings
show
significantly
promote
their
transformation.
An
effect
notes
affect
enterprises’
via
financing
constraints
and
level.
Heterogeneity
results
present
compared
enterprises
state-owned
(SOEs)
in
central
west
regions,
non-SOEs
east
region
is
more
significant.
This
paper
offers
valuable
policy
suggestions
promoting
high-quality
development
guiding
contributes
socially
responsible
growth.
