This study investigated the effect of alkaline deep eutectic solvents (DES) pretreatment on CH4 yield from anaerobic digestion corn stover. The results batch experiments showed that cumulative was significantly correlated with ethylene glycol (EG) concentration, time, and organic loading rate (OLR). After Box-Behnken Design (BBD) experimental optimization, increased 1.16 times under conditions EG = 0.4 v/v, 33.8 min, 22.2 w/v. Trace amounts residues in solution create an effective acid-alkaline balance environment, resulting a pH range 6.5-7.5. Thermogravimetric analysis DES improved degradation cellulose hemicellulose DMER64 Methanobacterium became major bacterial archaeal communities 40.2% 71.9%, respectively. Spearman correlation statistics revealed substrate accessibility promoted hydrogen-based CH4-producing synergistic metabolic pathway. Ultimately, resulted carbon flow 20.5% to CH4. process effectively improves conversion stover into clean energy reduces negative impact agricultural waste environment.

Abstract Limited research has been dedicated to exploring the potential reuse and creation of value‐added products from corn stover. Existing gaps in current underscore need for waste biorefineries that adhere principles a circular bioeconomy maximize value This review uses bibliometric analysis past decade examine pathways converting stover into energy within biorefinery framework. The data were processed using Web Science® database analyzed with VosViewer® software's, Bibliometrix package R Gephi, generating keyword‐based maps.
