In natural environments, most rocks possess internal fissures and are often exposed to diverse external loads arising from engineering activities ground stress, among other factors. This study aims explore the influence of different loading rates on mechanical properties acoustic emission (AE) characteristics fissured develop an intrinsic damage model. To achieve this, prefabricated rock specimens that mimic were prepared. Uniaxial compression tests along with AE monitoring carried out at various rates. Subsequently, a loss-damage constitutive model was developed, which describes deformation process based characterization energy. The results as follows: (1) Prefabricated samples have lower strength compared non-fissured due existence fissures. As rate increases, both peak elastic modulus increase. (2) Stress thresholds significantly affected by rate, showing positive correlation. reduce these thresholds, thus accelerating process. Rock structures engineered during undersea mining are typically subjected to varying water distributions due the motion of seawater, which considerably influences their stability. Hence, it is essential understand influence seawater distribution on mechanical behavior and energy characteristics rocks. In this study, biaxial compression tests were conducted red sandstone at various immersion heights, acoustic emission signals monitored. The results illustrate that properties deteriorate significantly upon immersion. With an increase in height, peak strength elastic modulus rock specimens decreased exponentially. When height was varied from 0 1/4 H under lateral stresses 5, 10, 15, 20 MPa, by 18.94%, 20.29%, 17.47%, 14.87%, respectively, 4.6%, 8.1%, 11.7%, 10.9%, respectively. Brittleness also gradually. During compression, (AE) accumulated AE counts exhibited a stationary phenomenon, first increasing slowly then suddenly. However, decrease with height. Meanwhile, proportion tensile cracks gradually increased shear decreased. As increased, both total input strain decreased, whereas dissipated opposite trend.

Seepage experiences were conducted on coal samples with diverse levels of moisture content, gas pressure, and effective stress to investigate how seepage in a seam is affected by the interaction gas, water, stress.
